We were planning to do the same thing in the spring and we thought about Silverleigh, which is only 55 miles from Dover castle - about £65 for an en suite room that includes use of the spa facilities.

If you are a member of the camping and caravan club , there is a nice cs site not far from Dover , it is a clothed site . Eastling Down Farm .less than 10 mins from Dover . Has a shower and a toilet .

Hello Martin ,
If you want a naturist site you would have to go a long way to find a nicer rural club than Invicta . Its only a short distance to Dover . They have camping , and chalets , a club run by the members , those we've met are nice people . Look up their website Enjoy the trip

I go along with John. The Invicta Sun Club is just what you're after.

Dover Castle is an English Heritage site , so if you are a member , great . if not then the entrance fee is 16.50 for senior . A annual membership to English Heritage is £43.50 and you then have a full year to explore other places .

As a former treasurer and trustee I can confirm that it is a very nice club.  Well it was before we moved out here 10 years ago, and according to friends it still is.
With regards to Silverleigh we occasionally stayed there when it first opened but then it started to get quite a few single men joining for other activities than pure naturism.  Whether that is still the case or not I do not know but would liked to think that it had improved.

I have never visited Silverleigh as it still has a bit of a reputation although it is reportedly kept to non-intrusive levels.
There have also been comments about the place getting a bit well worn although there have also been reports of more recent tarting up.

Invicta would appear to be the club of choice for this area.
Silverleigh is still ok I think, nothing particularly to recommend it other than it's naturist facilities and location, which is reasonably convenient for Dover.
Personally I would keep my clothes on and stay at a regular hotel for this trip. Sometimes going naturist is just too much hard work!!

We have visited Silverleigh only this week for the first time.  All we can say is....don't do it!!  It is tatty, tacky, dirty and did have a predominance of men, on their own, around the 'wet area'.  We would not return.

Invicta would be a better bet for a short stay, but the facilities are limited, particularly due to their lack of electricity.

Hope this helps!

Moderation is good, just don't overdo it!
