Hello to all, we wanted to add some informations about FKK Solaris which we visited last summer, we hope to be helpful to people who need some informations about it...

- DIRECTIONS / HOW TO GET -

The camping is located in Porec (Porec) and is about 1,10h - 1,30h drive from Trieste.

- STRUCTURE OF CAMPING -

The camp is divided into 14 zones, 5 of which are off-limits to dogs (A, B, E, F, G). The northern borders confine with an area completely free of camping and tourism activities, the south borders with the textile camping 'Lantern'.
Inside, however, we can identify three major macro-areas with "divisions" that appear quite defined.

The main "division" is the part of the camping including the 'peninsula' with dogs (part of the area N) and the rest of the camping: here the feeling is of being in another structure. Wide open spaces, "green" zone with free camping with no electrical turrets, no water connections, no playground, no attraction, no commercial activity; the feeling is very strong when you enter this part of Solaris, considering that the peninsula remains slightly elevated. Silence and "wild" nature, surround this area.

Another line of "border" is one that can be seen between the zones A and E and the space reserved for the apartments. Perhaps this detachment is felt even more and the thick vegetation with trees few meters from the sea, it helps to "isolate" the area of the apartments almost completely against the rest of the camping. Here too much silence; present a small massage center (run by two girls) and one of the two main restaurants of the camp: the Galeb.

So finally you can define three major macro-zones: zone N peninsula, central part, area apartments.

- NATURE / ZONE / PITCHES -

The whole area of the Solaris looks very shady and well served, with the presence of turrets attacks with drinking water and electricity in more than enough, as well as proximity to the toilets.
The central part of the camp is very busy, with particular density of campers in areas B, C, D, F, G, H, I, J, K.
There are about 600 pitches and 1200 not parceled in the N area. The Solaris has 144 apartments (38/42/44 sqm), 128 rooms (21 sqm), 12 suites (43 sqm) and 5 different types of pitches. Total area of the camping measures almost 50 hectares. The camping comes to accommodate about 4,000 people.
As previously said, the camping is full of trees, vegetation and many animals such as squirrels (there are everywhere and they move until the pitches), birds and fishes (recommended is snorkeling). In this regard, attention to the rocks and to walk on the beaches; specifical shoes for the sea are adviced.
The sea water is very clean everywhere, except in the Gulf area, where in N area is quite murky. Cleaned sea in the "area" of apartments and extension of the total coast is about 2.5 km; there are many ladders for the descent and showers along the coast.
The beaches are pebbly or with the gravel and boulders, absent the sandy shoreline and not too wide beach. Most of people are located in the beach below the pool and in the beach near the blue flag. Obviously nudity is compulsory along all the beaches and is poorly controlled (noticed a couple of men wearing the costume not warned) by the staff (negative aspect). Many people take the sun along the road near the coast, due to few space on the beach.

Vegetation / Trees: Be careful to don't have the tent just beneath the pines or you will find the roof chosen by ants as a natural habitat. Many spiders will accompany you on vacation, but you know, is a part of camper's life.
Few places exposed to direct sunlight. Part of L and N areas, are the sunniest.

- TOILETS -

Very positive impact with bathrooms: clean and ordered; the staff constantly clean inside.
Never had problems with missing toilet paper, soap or hair dryer over failures. Many areas are provided for infants and related services. Some areas are equipped for washing dog friends. All areas have showers and water-closet enough.
We report the beauty of three bathrooms in particular, one of which just new: toilets 4, 7 (brand new and beautiful) and 11.
A little less maintened and overlooked the toilets number 5 (peninsula area).

- CATERING / SHOPS -

Chapter food fairly satisfying.
Throughout the campsite there are several dining options, but the main restaurants are: the Galeb and the Cider (which is also a pool bar), both very frequented.
The menu is the same in each of the restaurants and the variety is quite good, even if for example, we noticed the total absence of egg dishes such as omelettes and eggs cooked simple, and the lack of hot-dogs.
The amount served in dishes is above average 'Italian' and it's abundant. Rice with peppers and tomatoes and french fries with onion into pieces, are almost everywhere.
Pasta is good -we thought it was worse- and the meat and pizza too. Very good dishes based on fish -but a little expensive-. Cocktails are big and they're not cheap. The quality is obviously not like the italian one, but overall we were not disappointed.
Prices of pasta, meat, pizza and beer / wine, are less expensive than Italian ones.
Very friendly staff and nice (very fun the "boss" of the Galeb), except a few cases of waiters not so 'happy' sometimes...to improve! Waiting times short and not too long, even there are so many people that use to eat in the restaurants in the evening.

Inside the camp there's also a small bakery between zones A, E and F, which produces delicious pastries and sandwiches freshly cooked.
Very good quality and low prices, very suitable for breakfast and for 'fast' lunch.
The only negative comment is that it is half-day exposed to direct sunlight and then until early afternoon, the area in front is literally boiling, staff as well.  😀 You can stand naked in the bakery, because the shop is on a street among the pitches.
In the M area is a fairly large supermarket, where inside of it you can find everything from drinks, sausages, bread, vegetables, cheese, etc. This store sell bath products, hygiene, camping and more. Nudity is generally prohibited inside.
Also two fruit and vegetables in the area near the reception (open sale) and a convenience store in front of the reception with a small kiosk nearby.

Out of the chapter 'food', there are a hairdresser and a beautician before the fruit and vegetables, two massage parlors (one area apartments run by two girls and one side of the pool run by two guys), a kiosk mentioned above and a center for fun for children.
Area for washing machines and campers near the entrance of the camp.

- POOL / ACTIVITIES/ ENTERTAINMENT -

The pool of Solaris measuring 25x10 meters and is 1.10 meters deep. Most of people at the swimming-pool are young children and families, who take possession since its opening at 10:00 am. The chaos and confusion reign supreme with dips, ball games and anything else that is theoretically prohibited, but in practice it's permit.
The seats available on the loungers under the umbrellas are besieged since the 10:01 am and is very difficult to find a place lying down, even just on the floor, from a certain time. Showers and various water activities (especially in the morning), as water aerobics and acquaerobic with substantial attendance.
Nudity is a must and is granted only mitigating factor for women who take the piece below.
As for the activities in general, the nearby sports center shall give information to anyone who asks. There are exposed prices (from the rental of pedal boats to water skiing, tennis and beach volleyball, etc.). There's a minigolf too. For information: some activities are practiced in the adjacent textile camping 'Lantern'.
The center for the youngest campers, expected activities and entertainment: from cartoons in programming to 'group' games.

In the evenings there are bands which they play live in restaurants and there are romantic evenings on every friday -with live music- of bands playing on the beach (area in front of the restaurant Galeb). Open bar all evenings for cocktails, beers and ice creams until around midnight.

- FREQUENTATION / NUDITY / CONCLUSIONS -

In conclusion we can say that the camping is mostly frequented by German and Slovenian (mostly), Austrian, Dutch, Italian and polish; less by Croats, Czechs, Swiss, French and so on.
There are areas with the presence of only Slovenian or German and other areas more mixed. The camping consisted mostly of families and older couples, young couples and the number of dogs is not high.
We almost always noticed the regard of the nudity in the pool and on the beach, except for a few sporadic cases mentioned above; inside the camping the percentage of nudity comes to 50% of the occupants more or less.
Inside the stores is required to get at least a 'sarong', which is very convenient if necessary.
Difficult to see young boys and girls to be naked outside of the beach, who use to spend time in the area adjacent to the beach volleyball court.
Couples and families mostly always bare (almost always men, women less) and never had the feeling of 'taking all eyes on us' (we were always naked).

In conclusion: nice camping, large and clean, perfect for families.
To improve the controls along the beaches and maybe isn't bad to create a pool for toddlers for use only, since it's impossible to swim in peace in the only one.
To improve a little the kindness of some waiters.
To offer sometimes a coffee or a liquour...! : D

Greetings to all, we hope that all of these informations may be helpful for someone: it's been an hard task to write it all.  🙂
