Dolcoed naturist camping and caravan park

Imminently to open in West Wales, in Carmarthenshire not far from Lampeter. This new commercial naturist venue is managed by the former managers of Tything Barn.

Quote from their new website:
"You’ll know that Dolcoed caters for all visitors, especially families. It is a naturist site (or nudist site, depending on your views) – either way we hope all our visitors will feel free to be undressed or dressed, in their own company or with friends, social or alone, the choice is yours!"

Nice to see a lovely commonsense "respect for personal choice" angle. I hope it's a success.

WOW
What a great turn up for the books.  How matter of fact about nudity. I think it looks fab and I wish Jo and Mike the very best of luck

I hope Jo and Mike's new venture is a success, but looking at their website, and if I read the pricing correctly £40 per night camping plus metered electric is outside our budget.

The prices page is very confusing and needs to be sub-divided into sections regarding tents, vans/mhomes and then finally the on-site static. The website is very much under construction it would seem so I guess it's watch this space  :-

This makes camping/caravaning  at an established  naturist club for £18/night for a couple and free children with optional £2 hook up look a lot more affordable, but these are the realities of someone trying to set up a naturist site and cover the cost of doing so.

Lets hope that they can succeed and provide much needed facilities.

Nice to see another naturist facility opening up and its only about 1hr 45mins from us. Will keep an eye on this one, as we will be trying to visit a few more places, now we've dragged the tent out from the back of the cupboard 🙂

I have seen rumours that the price figures are not necessarily accurate as the web site is still under construction and the price figures have altered since it was first put up, possible more than once.

'former managers of Tything Barn'
So who is running Tything Barn if it is not run by Jo and Mike?

I have just spoken with Jo. The website will be going live on Monday and the correct prices will be shown then eg camping £15 per night. She was surprised that people have got access to the website already as it's still being edited. The prices shown currently are for their static holiday caravan.

The news came around on Twitter initially on the 5 March when I think a fellow tweep found the new Twitter a/c for the site @dolcoed. It was empty but the profile already contained the website link.

I can answer that but I don't want to give news out that might not be completely public yet. What I can say is that they are a young couple with excellent naturist credentials and experience who I will very happily vouch for. I think Tything Barn is in good hands.
