just received this from a dorset friend. 🙂

"As you may know we are undertaking extensive works at the site.
We are replacing all of the services at Rivendell including the phone lines so eventually the phones will be reconnected using the same number but currently the new line hasn't been installed and the house is undergoing a total refurbishment so there is no electric supply or phone line.
We are re-opening Rivendell as a Naturist Facility as early as we can this summer, we are hoping to be open again in June but we will keep everyone update via the website.

This holding page has a contact us form with a list of services which we are going to offer at Rivendell.
If you take the time to tick the boxes that you are interested in we will be able to keep you updated automatically as we progress with the refurbishment and move towards the re-opening."

That is good news, although the website needs a little work.  Yes it has a map, to show the location, but there is no mention of where it actually is.  If you do a web search for Mannington the first option to show is in Norfolk, only a short distance off-target.  So a post code  would probably help, or failing that a mobile phone number.

It's just up the road from st Anne's cottage 🙂

We're off the Studland next weekend but we're considering also going to Rivendell for a period of time.

We're not campers so we're looking at the B&B offering for one night. The question in our mind is it is worth staying over night in May or just enjoy a day there and return back to Windsor.

If anyone has stayed over night, particularly in the B&B section, please let us know your opinions.
