Another day, another beach, although to be honest it was a bit of a waste of time. There were no naturists present, but on the other hand there were no textiles either, in fact, if it was't for me, the beach would have been deserted!

It is a bit of a walk to reach the place, just over half a mile, sometimes scrambling over weed encrusted rocks. Take the bus to Agali Beach, but be warned, at this time of year they are infrequent so get your timings right. Once there, head west (to the right as you face the sea) and you will come across Agios Nikolas beach. There is a taverna on both, but on my visit today, late in the season, the one on Nikolas was closed. The beach itself is stoney in the main with a couple of coarse sandy streches and is about 100 yards long, backed by squat trees and scrub that will no doubt give some welcome shade in the height of summer. There were a few sunbeds piled up near the taverna so I assume these are put out in the season to ease the pain of laying on the pebbles. Access to the sea is also stoney so beach shoes would be recommended if you intended to swim. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the bus, and the fact I needed to get the ferry back to Paros, I didn't have much time to spend here so perhaps in the afternoon it might have got busier. I managed to have a nice cold beer at the taverna on Agali beach whilst waitimg for the transport back to arrive. On the whole though, it isn't somewhere I would go to again.
