Hi Glenn,
I posted the below in another topic two weeks ago. It'll probably be to busy to walk naked through the nature reserve in August, but the beach is well worth a visit.

"Working in Cardiff today, so got an early start and finished by lunchtime. Then drove to Kenfig for a naturist afternoon.
Dressed in shorts to walk from the car park, but once I'd got passed the pool I took them off and walked naked across the nature reserve to the beach path. Walked along the path until I'd got passed the few textiles on the beach and then still naked walked along the beach to the area used by naturists.
Sunbathed and had a couple of swims to cool off, then walked back by the same route and managed the stay naked until I got back to the pool by the car park.
A really pleasant way to spend a summers day."

I Love it when a Tan Comes Together.

Lovely beach if you don't mind the walk if you get to the stream you've gone too far my favourite spot is around the area of the wooden frames of sunken ships exposed at low water

We were there  a week go on Sunday, quite near to a wreck, in one of the windbreaks, not that we needed it, as the weather was lovely. We even managed a dip in the sea, which wasn't as cold as we were expecting. There were a small number of lurkers but we met and chatted with another couple on our way down for our dip and saw a few other couples too.

We've been to Kenfig a few times now and prefer it to Monknash, which is much closer to home.

Kenfig is a lovely beach - most couples tend to be at the foot of the dunes about half way between the bridleway sign and the remains of the ship wreck. Park at Nature Reserve and walk through dunes for about 25 mins towards sea then head towards Steelworks along the old haul road for about 10 or 15 mins (or on beach). You will then be in the right area. Further along past the wreck is used almost exclusively by single men.

Kenfig Beach has certainly become more popular recently in the lovely weather we've had. The last three weekends has seen at least 6 or more couples in the central area. The sea has been really clear and getting warmer each week. Hoping the weather's good this weekend.  8)

Thanks.

How far is the sea from the dunes at low tide?
I'd like to check it next week, but want to be sure that if someone can see me I can cover myself quickly.

cheers, Ed

Hi, I have been to Kenfig beach a few years ago but did not really dare stay naked on the main beach, is it ok to do so then?
I would also like to walk/run naked all along the beach at low tide since there are so few people and the beach is so big.  But again, am I likely to get complaints?

I visited Kenfig recently. There is absolutely no problem in walking along the water line at low tide.
As you enter the beach turn right. After 10 minutes of walking it is safe to get nude. Most likely you will not see a sole.
There is however a "gay hub" on the dunes. They are busy in sexual activity.
If you wish to avoid them, simply stay on the water line at low tide. You will be far away and will be ignored.
Enjoy!

Try also Monknash. It is more beautiful and the atmosphere on
the beach is nicer. You will see few other naturists on a sunny day.

Again, if you'll walk on the water line at low tide, most likely that you will no see anyone and you will be by yourself.

Occasionally you will see people on the cliffs. They might see you, but they will be too far to be annoyed (actually, I think that some people enjoy the view of nude people on the beach). The cliffs in Monknash are very tall and there is no chance of any sort of interaction between the people on the waterline and the people on the cliffs.

Went to Kenfig on Tuesday and saw absolutely no one on the beach at all. Swam, read and walked about naked with complete freedom. My only mistake was not checking the tide before I left – it was well on the way out and it's a really long walk to the water (see attached photos).

Kenfig is a great beach – a strip of stones at the edge, but otherwise a fantastic, long strip of sand. Lots of space and seemingly very quiet.

Went to Kenfig yesterday and tried sunbathing on the dunes, near the shipwreck. I didn't see anyone on the dunes and there was only dog walker that passed by.
Lovely!

I love my visits to Kenfig and I can say, in all my years of going, I’ve never had any problems or confrontations.
As long as you stick to the nude areas (and other beach users know about them), you can use the beach as you please.
I always walk down to the sea in the buff and enjoy a refreshing skinny dip!
