Sadly, not recommended.
Soon after I started college in Cardiff back in the 1970s we had a lovely balmy autumn evening and a group of us (about 20+) decided we fancied an evening on the beach. So we went to Barry Island with a load of cans and bottles and a radio and sat on the beach until well after the sun had set, getting happier and happier ... ... then one of the lads said "let's go skinny dipping!" and we did - all of us, starkers, running, shouting into the sea. Then the Police turned up, flashing their torches, calling us back on to the sand and warning that we could be prosecuted (and all the rest blah di blah) so we laughed and joked a bit more and gradually put our clothes on again. They were fairly good-natured about it all, except for the fact that we'd lit a bit of a bonfire on the beach and they didn't like that ... but they can be a load of old stick-in-the-muds, can't they!
