I’m feeling miserable about this f***ing Scottish weather! It’s such a beautiful, sunny day today too. 😢

I’ve got a feeling that I’m not going to make it tomorrow, but these things can change. We’ll just have to wait ‘til tomorrow and see for sure. Best laid plans and all that...

Just how bad is the snow / roads down Glasgow area?  If it's really bad then I'll not make it down either.

I really don't know! I'm just going by the weather/traffic reports on sites like Traffic Scotland. I'd be getting a lift to Edinburgh and then getting the train through and back again, so I might get there ok, but I wouldn't want to get stranded there! Are you planning to go down and up again tomorrow?

No I've booked a night in guest house on this occasion. I don't like what they're saying on the weather forecast about snow tomorrow though. 

On checking the metoffice website at 9am this morning, the yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been extended to 6pm.

It’s not looking good, is it? 😟 I’m going to check it again after 1pm, and make my decision then. There are plenty more weeks in the year, after all. I may have to have a makeshift spa at home! Where’s Jamie’s hot tub when you need it?! I think I’d sit in it even if it was blizzard conditions 😆

Sorry everyone, but I won't be attending the Arlington swim this evening. Not too happy having a 100 mile round trip in snowy weather conditions. I've attached a screenshot of the traffic scotland traffic camera on the M8 @ Charing Cross Tunnel (pic taken at 13:05).

If the snow gets heavier, and starts to freeze later on it will be for a difficult drive home!

Much as I could do with a lovely swim / sauna / steam room at the Arlington, I'd much rather stay safe tucked up at home. 

Hopefully will catch up with you all at the Arlington soon! 

The snow started right when they said it would! So, yes, I’m staying home too 😟
Think I might look into installing a sauna! 😆

Shame we couldn't get to the swim today. But at least I got washing caught up with, and done a spot of nude yoga practice at home, so not a complete loss.

Well, apart from not getting to The Arlington, it was a good one. Nice for a walk in the snow when the sun was out this morning.

I did. I made the best of a bad job and tested the theory that you can dry yourself by rolling in the snow, after swimming. It took a bit of time to gather up the courage to do it, but it does work.

Brilliant! That’s on my list of things to do, but when I say that to Andy, he just shudders and rolls his eyes! No sense of adventure!

Have to admit it was after being in really warm water, but it does work. My wife and kids thought I was mad!

Yup! I’ll be going then too 😊 Did you get the email I sent? There’s the meet and greet too, at The Coffee Pod on Woodland Road from 4.30-5-40pm. Everyone welcome.

I’m really pleased to say that I’ll be going along on the 11th too. Not sure if I’ll make the meet and greet yet or not, but I’ll be there for the swim. First time back in over a year and a half since my first visit. I’m very much looking forward to it.

After missing the January swim, I'll make sure I'm there for Feb 11 swim including the earlier meet and greet.
