I've just got back from the swim at the Arlington and I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it. The organisers were lovely, the Turkish room is fantastic and everyone was really nice to me as a newbie. I will definitely try to get back again soon.

The bike ride was good, Jane, 118klm in 6 hours! 🙂

Unfortunately the next few Sundays I have other activities on, which won't finish in time for me to make it through to the Arlington.

But if my circumstances change, I'll post up on here.  🙂

Skin Deep at The Fringe

I just got my 2 tickets 🙂 The show on the 21st is definitely Clothing Optional - I used the phone booking service to double check 😉 The seats are NOT allocated, so we can sit anywhere. There are only 100 seats, so you’d better get booking fast! They’d like us to bring a towel to sit on and get undressed/dressed in the room.

Just somewhere local for a few days

I have family visiting and other commitments so I won’t be able to manage along to the Arlington on 6 May.

Will confirm nearer the end of the week once I know for definite my availability.  🙂 There may be a spanner in the works though, as car was overheating on a short local drive yesterday. I'm hoping its just needing coolant topped up. Seems the fuse for the radiator fan had blown as well, so a trip to halfords today for coolant / and a fuse!

Fingers crossed for your car Naked_Archer! I’m hoping it’s not going to be too long until I can drive that distance again, so I can return the favour of a lift 😊. Also, there’s always the train...

Car seems to be fixed!
Unfortunately there may be a dog shaped spanner in the works for a trip to the Arlington on Sunday.

I may need to be chauffering mother' & her dog back and forth to the Royal Dick Vets in Edinburgh over the weekend, as the dog may need to be referred to there as the local vets may be unable to treat the current ongoing bladder problem..  Hopefully I'll have a better idea tomorrow once the local vets make a decision.  So much for a relaxing two weeks annual leave!  🙁

But while a trip to the Arlington would be enjoyable, family & pets come first!

Don’t worry, I’m determined to get to The Arlington, so will get the train, if needs be.

Though not from the area, I was in Scotland for a wedding and discovered (researched) Glasgow Continental.  I had a fabulous evening, was made very welcome and met some lovely people. Arlington baths is a remarkable venue. So much to do and enjoy!  I wish I lived nearer but I'm already looking forward to my next visit!  Not sure when that will be but I will include Glasgow Continental in my itinerary for definite!
