Hi, I've recently moved to SW Scotland and wondered if anyone could recommend places to go nude (in the hope that we will have a blisteringly warm summer!)?
I used to visit Morfa Dyffryn and would love to find somewhere similar locally as it's now 4.5 hours away 🙁

Welcome to the area Bagpuss. There arent really any recognised places in the area, although we have done forsest walks in the past. with an eye out for hikers lol.
Solway Sun Club near Carlisle is a nice wee place in the summer have a look at their website.

Thanks SWScotland - I'll check out the Solway Sun Club site, but a bit nervous of jumping into the club scene... mental note to self "be brave"! I love a naked ramble, but you do have to be fleet of foot when you spot another hiker!
This is such a beautiful place and I'm looking forward to reacquainting myself with the area (I lived here for a while about 5 years back). Thanks for taking the time to respond 🙂

A little off topic for the thread, but I would generally not recommend running away.
Firstly, running, like any other sudden movement, tends to draw the eye and will make it more likely that you are seen. Simply fading quietly away, moving behind cover or turning and walking in a different direction is far less likely to gather attention from someone else.
Secondly, running away gives an impression that you are doing something wrong. This will raise the suspicions in anyone who sees you and is likely to be counter-productive.
My personal preference, is to try to melt away and, if that is not possible, I will get my wrap out of my bag and cover up. I try to look relaxed while doing this, to avoid giving the impression that am doing anything other than extending a simple courtesy to the other party. To date, this approach has served me well.

Great advice Ian, I'm certainly with you there and wouldn't advise a sprint into the distance. A lose pair of shorts and walking in open areas is, generally, the best way forward and a big smile and wave if you don't have that option 🙂
The great thing about D&G is that it's pretty much undiscovered by the walking fraternity, which means miles upon miles of beautiful (undisturbed) scenery.

A kilt also works well. If you have a spare or cheap one you don't mind getting sandy/dirty. Doubles up great for lying on for sunbathing
