Hi, I'm new here but not new to naturism. Having moved back to a built up area I was wondering if anybody new of places suitable to stripping off and having a good old walk around the dudley area or in the nearby west Midlands area. I had a bad experience of police knocking on my door once due to being seen so didn't want the hassle of that again.

Hope somebody can help guide me to some great locations.

Cheers

Mark

Down stream on both banks of the River Severn at Bridgnorth there is miles of walks. The fishing rights for the river are shared between a number of angling clubs so there is access from one to the other right along the banks.

My favourite walk is at Quatford. I park on the verge opposite The Food Stop cafe walking down to the river beside the caravan park. Once out of sight of the caravan park or sometimes sooner I strip off and walk towards the Dudmaster Estate. You can't be seen by any anglers who might be fishing as they will have had to climb down the bank.

You can walk for miles although I never venture further than the water/sewerage works. There is also some wooded areas to walk in. On the way back you can walk the opposite side of the fields and in adjacent fields so as not to simply backtrack. You are shielded from the road by trees and hedgerow. Once back at the car I get some refreshments at the cafe, usually an all day breakfast and a Diet Coke, have to watch the calories.

Not that busy at weekends and even quieter during the week. Enjoy.

You cannot change what you are willing to tolerate.

Oh that's awesome Brooke. I'll have to get out there and try that one. Maybe even tag along with u one of the days. It's a lot closer than Wales although I'm still gonna try and get down there too.

So i took brooke's advice and went to her little bridgenorth walk. Once out of view of the caravan park and the cafe over the road I braved it and stripped off. It was an amazing walk, must have got a good half hour in before I saw people were following my path so I dressed and went back to the car. There were houses on the opposite bank that could see through gaps in the hedges and more fishermen than I expected on the opposite side of the bank that could see. I don't know if they got a full view of me or just thought I was walking topless but I just carried on walking. Not brave enough to be confronted.

All in all it was an amazing day and I can't wait to get back there.

Thanks Brooke

A little bit further afield but the Peak District has several good possibilities and a little further but more remote try the Berwyns in North Wales. They are just east of Bala. The business part is near Pistyll Rhaeadr but there's a good tea shop there by the waterfalls. I did 10 miles from LLangollen about a month ago along the North Berwyn Way and hardly saw a soul. Be prepared though in bad weather this is serious country.

Thanks Davie, I'll keep them in mind if I'm ever in that part of the UK. I'm just glad I've found somewhere within half an hour of where I live.

Have a great day - I'm tempted but I may have other commitments.

Two good starting points:

From the west SJ 046382 There's a triangle of land were you can park the car. You can either go through the woods and onto the track across the moors and then south from the memorial stone to Cadir Bronwyn or south west straight up the side of the mountain. You do get the odd four wheel drive vehicle along the track

An alternative route is from Pistyll Rhaedr. (SJ a074294. To get there go via Llanrhaedr-ym-Mochnant. There's a nice little tea shop by the waterfall and parking for a pound or two. This will be busier and to get to Cadir Bronwyn it means going up Moel Sych, onto Cadir Berwyn then dropping down and climbing up to Cadir Bronwyn. Going back is more or less the same although you can drop down to Llyn Llancas and enjoy a walk in the valley.

Have a good day
