Did anyone brave the European Championships in Glasgow and get to the GC swim on Sunday? How was it?

I did! I went through by train, and watched some of the cycling race - very thrilling!

Anyway, they started clearing away the barriers by 4.30pm, and traffic was on Woodlands Road by 6pm.

I was advised that Northish of Kelvingrove Park was fine for parking, if you go up the Great Western Road and then take a left towards Kelvingrove. I’m going back this Sunday - I want to try the yoga - so that’s what I’ll be doing, but planning to get there for 6pm, rather than earlier (I think the men’s race goes on a little later?). Would you like to go?

Life just keeps getting in the way of Kinshaldy and Arlington at the moment, it's a right pain sometimes.

It'll likely be the 26th before we get to Arlington again. Weather is looking awful for the beach this weekend too, typical.

Not a naturist thing, but we are going to Pittenweem Arts Festival on Friday. That is a good day out if you haven't been before and like arty things.

Didn't know there was yoga at the Arlington, i thought the next yoga block started in October? Anyway im unexpectedly free now this Sunday, so planning on heading through assuming that the traffic isn't an issue. Will pack my yoga mat!

I know of a couple of tickets that are available for the clothing optional performance of Skin Deep on the 21st August at Gilded Balloon at Teviot.
Is anyone interested? Let me know, and I can get in touch with the people who have them 😊

Really enjoyable time at the Glasgow Continetal swim at the Arlington baths. No issues with traffic due to the cycle event.

An enjoyable yoga session, followed by sauna, steam room, turkish suite and a bath!  🙂

Looking forward to returning on the 26th! 😊

Hopefully you didn't feel any after effects from the yoga today!

I went along to the Forth Naturists swim at Haddington last night and enjoyed every minute. Very relaxing with pool, sauna and steam room available. Good turnout as well.

I love being in my skin

I'm glad you were able to attend the Forth Swim at Haddington, Victor.  Good to hear that there was a decent turnout as well. Unfortunately, timings make it difficult for me to get through to Haddington in time for the swim.

What can I say? Another excellent evening at the Glasgow Continetal swim. 3 hours of rest and relaxation in the Sauna, Steam Room, Turkish suite. Just what you need on a rather cold and wet Sunday!

Hopefully it won't be too long until I can make a return visit.

Good to see a few people from the forum as well.  🙂

I totally agree Naked_Archer, yet again a very enjoyable evening always a pleasure to meet up with old friends and meet new ones in a great venue. It was encouraging to see so many new faces last night, and I spoke to a few, previously un-met, NC members as well as quite a few regulars, good to see you all, roll on the next time.

Speaking to one of the door team last night and he told me a record 88 were in attendance.

As usual, the time flew in and we had to leave all too soon. Great to catch up again, can't believe last time we met was the beach several weeks ago.

I am from Lincolnshire and earlier this year, I attended a wedding near Livingstone. I stayed two nights in a Travel lodge, (Friday and Saturday) and while there, I had a quick Internet browse and discovered Arlington Baths. I managed to make contact to enquire of the ability to attend as a visitor.  I was made very welcome, shown around the facilities. All in all it was a fabulous experience and highly recommended.  I don't get up to Scotland very often but the next time I'm up there, Arlington baths will definitely be on the itinerary!
