Doing a bit of blogging while on Mallorca, and decided to summarize our favorite full service naturist hotels. Hope this list is of use to a few folks.

You are most welcome. Decided NOT to publish the list of places that DIDN'T make our list. LOL

Wow! Thanks so much for this, Dan. Professionally written and presented. I just spent over an hour reading the reviews and checking out the hotels.

I'd love to do some overseas travel to one of these resorts, but my significant other is not yet ready. She is planning an equine vacation in Portugal with her dressage girlfriends, and I'm penciling in a stay at Desert Sun in Palm Springs, based on your recommendation.

Question for you: I have spent a few weeks at Cypress Cove in Kissimmee, Florida. In your estimation, how does it rate to Desert Sun?

Thanks, Dan!

Thanks for your kind words.

We have been to Cypress Cove several times, but it's been quite a long time - though it's difficult to imagine they've made changes that would cause us to put it on this list.

I'm told they've remodeled the hotel (apartments, really) which would be good news as they were pretty dowdy the last time we were there. But moreover, most of the grounds are covered by what we would call mobile homes - nice ones with lawn gnomes - but mobile homes nonetheless. Thus, it's become something of a retirement community and some of the long timers are a bit possessive of the grounds. (We took the kids a couple times, who were inclined to do crazy things like jump and splash in the pool. That seemed particularly upsetting to one or two of the older clients)

All that said, I think it's the best option on the east coast in terms of atmosphere and amenities. We've been to Paradise Lakes and Caliente as well (also a LONG time ago) but simply couldn't reconcile the sexual overtones about those places. No judgement, really! Just not what we're looking for.

Hope that helps. From all I've read, I'd say the UK is far ahead of the US in terms of accepting naturism, and with the recent turn of political culture, I would say the US has become MORE conservative and paranoid. That's why almost all of our naturist activity is in Europe.

Hope that helps

Thanks, Dan. I concur that the trailer park thing is huge at Cypress Cove, both at the entrance and at the end. Also, there are many streets filled with mobile homes around the girth. That said, the newly remodeled hotel rooms are excellent.

From what I read here and elsewhere, I have to agree that the UK or Europe is the place to go for the best naturism holiday.
