I went yesterday to Marros, first time on that beach. A very secluded beach with an outstanding scenery of both Tenby and the Gower peninsula.

I spent three hours there and saw almost no one. I had a funny encounter, though: I saw three people approaching, so I got dressed. When they arrived I had a quick chat with them (a man and two women in their 70s).
As they were about to leave one of the women told me that now they leave me a private beach. "You can go for skinny dip, if you wish". I accepted her proposal and as they left went for a short dip!

Now, some instructions and a review of this great beach:
You have to park in Marros Church,  SA33 4PN. From there you need to walk 1/2 a mile on a lane towards the beach. Then an additional 1/2 a mile of a steep walk down the hill. It is altogether a good 25-30 minutes walk.

As you arrive to the beach turn right and walk an additional 1/2 mile towards the rock area.

The geology of the beach is very interesting and the view as well.

Chance of meeting other people is close to zero.

Visiting the beach is recommended at low tide (you might cut off at high tide).

I went for the 1st time in June on the return home from Tything Barn.
on a facebook post I parked at telpyn and then walked most of coat to Marros naked.
A lovely Beach.
Unfortunately tide was coming in and only had 5 minutes on Marros but was talking to a local visitor around side of Marros and then walked back to Telpyn and went to far end of telpyn beach.
would definitely go again but a fair rive even from Port Talbot.

Keep On Smiling:)

Instead of parking near the church, as usual, I parked closer to the beach, using the 'pilgrims road'. Grave mistake!

The road is not safe. There are ditches on its sides and my car fell into a ditch on the way back.

It turns out that this road is private and not meant to be used by visitors. Too pity that there are no warning signs.

Marros is a real favourite of mine, though it is several hours away, so I can't get there more than once a year.
