Well I have to say I found your account very amusing, I am not sure if that was the intended effect. It only goes to reinforce my belief that being naked is best confined to areas where it is generally expeted and accepted.

I was hoping people would find my account amusing, hence me putting quite a bit of detail into the account.

🙂

Although only going to areas where naturists are expected and accepted does limit where free range naturists can go..

I too found it amusing having had a panic on the Yorkshire Moors in April when a land rover suddenly appeared from off track, my wife did laugh. This was before I found out about all the good work and news that it is not illegal to be out walking nude like this.

Next time I do a nude walk, I will either keep calm and carry on or strategically place a cover up.

If we don't get out there and do these things nude, then we will always be at the far end of a long beach or have to join a club or similar.

It is easier said than done though.

The more you do it the easier it gets until it feels completely natural. Its also true that we need to get out there, if we don't grasp the nettle now we will probably lose the freedoms that we could have. Use it or lose it.

It must be a county exercise to do as there seems to be a reluctance to participate in such things in the North East of England though don't quote me on this as it is just an observation...

Theres a real lack of naturism in N.Irelabd roo Davey, not very often i would get out tho am determined to get a naked hike in the mournes soon.
Also like naked archer above i do a bit of exploring derelict buildings sometimes naked too but not quite as eventful as his story tho.
I did find an old army barracks in spain not far from El Portus campsite i was able to explore for a couple of hours naked. Dont think i was seen at all but literally seconds after i put shorts on to leave a couple did walk round the corner but they never said anything

I have explored this army barracks many times while naked even when there have been quite a few people around. I have found if you act in the same way as you would if you were dressed no one seems to take any notice, especially in Spain.

I can recommend the hills around the Elan Valley in mid Wales. Huge area of moorland and very few people. I once walked over 10 miles naked and saw no one.

It's been a lovely day, forecast is good for tomorrow. I am pondering upon the idea of trying out my first ever naked winter walk on my local naturist beach. I feel very apprehensive about how my body might react.
Any thoughts or anecdotes about how I might prepare myself? Think I shall simply go for a walk and see what happens, perhaps it's just mind over matter.

Being naked is one of the simple joys of life.

Keep a good pace up. Wear a hat and gloves if need to. Get dressed again if you feel too cold, don't stay nude for the sake of it. See some of Hillwalker's post re walking in the hills around freezing point.

If the sun is out, not too much wind chill and it's as mild as forecast, you'll love it and be doing it again soon.

I'm just a wee bit jealous Brian. Enjoy.

Forecast is often a little pessimistic on temperatures; looks like being a sunny day and there was some warmth to be felt today, fine for a walk but probably not enough for prolonged, flat out sunbathing!

Most times I go out in the winter, I'm surprised at how much more comfortable it is without clothes - providing I am active (and don't stay out too long if it is near freezing)

About 10 days ago,  when temperature was up to a high of 15C, I ventured out into the hills SW of Edinburgh (where I live) and stripped off for a little over an hour for a naked hike.
First time I had done that but the weather was kind and the trail was very quiet. I only met one fellow but on seeing him coming towards me, I put on a denim miniskirt until he passed. Th e n took it off again when he rounded a hill.
Just nodded and said hello in passing.

I went for a naturist walk alongside the disused Grantham canal last Friday 7th March. Great to be nude in the raw spring weather.

Had another walk along the canal this morning. Deliciously sunny so great to feel real warmth on my skin.

I thought it was going to rather chilly today, but no it turned out lovely. I had a six mile jaunt across the local Fields. Saw one person sunning himself on an opposite side of a hill I was walking on. He was clothed, I was not and if he did see me he took no notice.

It was an unexpected pleasant walk
