Due to visit God's Country later this summer. Can anybody give me an up-date on the Fraisthorpe and Easington beaches. Still friendly to naturism?
Well we drove all the way to Easington years ago when I was feeling a bit hacked off with Fraisthorpe difficulties, followed the instructions as in Bare Beaches, and we couldn't even climb down. What further erosion has done now I don't know.

I'm a birder and know that stretch of coast quite well, and yes accessing the beach there is difficult, especially since the storm in 2013. Apart from Fraisethorpe, I'd have thought there are probably quiet spots along stretches of Bridlington or Filey bays where you'd do a lot better by just braving it against the occasional dogwalker.
I thought it had all been decided in 2018 that there was no such thing as naturist beaches any more, so long as a degree of commonsense prevails. Go to any beach, find a quiet spot and strip off without making a big thing of it and there shouldn't be any problems.
Let's not go backwards having made so much progress, only the England football team does that and look where they end up.
So when do we start and where can we go..

In law there may be no such thing as designated beaches. But on Fraisthorpe you are viewed as one of an odd minority who uses the beach to sunbathe, never mind naked. It doesn't make for a relaxing atmosphere and it doesn't do my back much good to stay prone behind a windbreak for hours. The reality can lag behind the ideal I'm afraid.
