Hello fellow members,

We are planning a trip to Vera Playa in May. This will be our first time in Spain and we want to take the best advantage of the naturist opportunities it offers.

We are looking forward to the freedom of all day nudity in Vera Playa (we'll stay in a naturist urbanization) but we are also interested in nature experiences and not only urban ones. We are looking for recommendations and information on hikes that can be done in the nude in the area.

We have identified three potential nude walking areas and we would love to hear stories and experiences of people who may have been there before.

1. Cabo de Gata:
1.1 Cala de Plomo, de Enmedio and Cala San Pedro.
1.2 Playa de Genoveses parking lot to Playa de Monsul by the coastline.
2. West of Bolnuevo in Mazarrón, from cueva de Lobos to Cala Desnuda.
3. Sierra Almagrera with abandoned mine sites (We have very sparse info on this one).

We would ideally like to do them as nude as possible, and would love to know about the frequency of nudity in those hikes, risks and general attitudes if we should run into someone.

If anyone has done them before we would appreciate your "reviews" and opinions. We are also open to other suggestions in the area!

Thanks in advance!

We have been there two times and have seen all of the places you mention. Cabo de Gata really worths a visit or more. We have not seen anyone walking nude outside beaches and designated areas. Consider that is a hilly place and it could be hard walk a lot under the sun and I'm not sure you can do 1.2 walking along the seaside.
About 3, it is in Cuevas del Almanzora municipality where nudism is prohibited everywhere including the beaches. Anyway it's a nice place and we visited with mountain bikes.

Thanks for your input Alessandro & Lidia!

With 1.2 I meant to say, walking on the paths close to the coast that visit the Calas as opposed to the car road.

Given your experience, do you think it would be inappropiate to do this walk and 1.1 in the nude? Better just to keep to the beaches themselves?

As to number 3, that's useful information, I didn't know that. I guess we may have to skip it. It just looked isolated enough that in a weekday we might pull it off, but if it's illegal we may better not try our luck.

I don't know about people reaction or if it is considered appropriate,  I can only say that I have not seen anyone nude except in beaches and Vera Playa. All people going from and to most known nudist beaches were clothed. In all urban beaches or places clearly visible from roads no one was nude. Also in Cabo de Gata national park, nudists used to go in some coves and textiles in others. In most popular wide beaches,  there were textiles only.
We spent there only a month in two times, it was August and can't say it's always the same. You can ask to
veraplayafriends.com
where you can get more information from regulars and residents

Thank you! We hope that in May it is not as crowded as August and we can enjoy some of the "all textile when full" beaches in Cabo de Gata.

I've been around the other forum but wanted the take of folks around here. 🙂
