Excited about our first visit to Arlington shortly.
We were chatting to our waitress in the Hard Rock Cafe, she asked what we were doing this afternoon, we said we were going to the Arlington swim, she said we would love. She said she was a frequent member of the Western baths, but  hadn't made it to the Arlington often enough. Were we talking to the converted?

Sounds like you were! The Swim was at the Western Baths for around 40 years! Makes me feel very green, having only been going for a year!
Hopefully the Skinny Swim will be going for another 40 years!

Still going strong here. It is the best of weather at this time of year in many respects. A beautiful sunny day for a naked walk.

That's good to hear, Hillwalker!

I think It's going to be next spring / summer before I get to do any hill walking (naturist or otherwise), sadly an ongoing knee issue has flared up again  😮 so no hill walking for me till it improves and I get the all clear from the (private) physiotherapist.  Long drives aren't helpful for it either, so no swims either  :'(

Pretty quiet here at the moment, only nude around the house and putting the bins out.

Hillwalker, we drove past the Sidlaws on our way to Glamis Castle Christmas market today and as I looked at the hills, I was wondering if you were up there and wishing I was.

Sorry to hear about your knee Archer, fingers crossed it's sorted out soon.

Hopefully going to Arlington on 23rd Dec.

Occasionally have stripped off for a very quick New Year's day skinny dip at TentsmuirKinshaldy beach but we are a bit mad sometimes, lol.

Hi Archer, Robert,

If I am doing a Munro, especially where I am going up somewhere like the Corrie Fee then I use a knee support because I am trying to prevent future knee injury.

Robert, if it was a weekday morning then I would probably be up there. If you have a look at my gallery in the other place there is a new photo. One taken by the dog walker when it was minus 2c

Enjoy, those who make it to the swim at the Arlington. Can't see me being able to make it for the forseeable future now :'(

Thanks Rob we will try to make it.

Is anyone planning on doing a new year dip this year, we like to mark the start of the new year by a quick trip to the beach. Anyone else doing one, we were thinking  of ardeer this year

We've done a new year dip at Kinshaldy beach in the past. Bracing isn't quite a strong enough word to describe how cold it is but it is one of those things you just have to do.
Won't make Ardeer but might make Kinshaldy, no firm plans as yet.

Some of you may be aware that an ill-informed network of self styled "pedophile hunters" have started targeting naturist events across the UK.  We believe that a group called No More Silent Voices UK will organise a protest outside the Arlington Baths on Sunday evening (10 March).

Based on previous incidents, it is expected that they will be very vocal and will try to film people entering the baths and post videos and peoples photos and personal details on social media.

If you would prefer not to have that sort of attention it might be best to give Sunday a miss.  WE WOULD HOWEVER LIKE A GOOD TURN OUT ON SUNDAY of people who feel able to attend.

We will be liaising with the Police and the Arlington Baths over the situation

Is there a reason this group would target the swim session?

It is because there might be children there.

There are children everywhere.

What I mean is, was there an incident or is it just their ignorance?
