Congratulations on your first swim. The more you do it, the more free you will feel.

My girstvnude swimm was terrible,i wasctold itcwas a nude beach,then i realized when textiles started to appear ,it was no nude beach,sobi had to staycin th freezing water until i got th courage to dash quickly tobmy towel

It is quite liberating wild swimming naked... nothing like it... actually have a good swim and you soon warm up and often wild swimmers don't swim for too long... I've done about 45 minutes on average lake and sea swimming but naked... just be mindful of personal safety including ability to swim!

I had my first real skinny dip just last week at between 8pm to 9pm through the late sunset to under the stars, down a bit from my hotel. So liberating!

Great to hear these stories about nude wild swimming for the first time. When we were kids in the village where I grew up, we would go swimming in the local river in the summertime and we would strip off and swim nude without giving it a second thought.

My first adult experience was last year at a naturist beach in northern Mallorca (slightly different setting to the Staffordshire Moorlands!) and I found it so liberating.

Would love to nude wild swim in the UK but I don’t really know any suitable spots or indeed have anyone to swim with! Offers to take me would be welcome!

I think we all remember our first nude swim.

Mine as an adult was in the Isle of Man in a tiny cove near Peel. The water was cold but drying off naked in the sun was incredible. There is nothing like swimming in the nude. I was seventeen.

That was when I was converted to naturism by Rose - she took me skinny dipping in Corfu in 1992 before we were married. I have never looked back

Porec  Yugoslavia September 1980 Then the following year in Rabats Yugoslavia. Uk was around 1990 at Fraisthorpe beach near Brid first indoor in UK was Jesmond pool at a Three rivers swim night 1991 ish, went several times then stopped.

My first nude swim was at a French C-O beach back in 1982 which was swiftly followed by early doors nude swimming in the mornings at Tooting Bec Lido - something I continued daily through summer and autumn until I moved out of London in 2001.
On subsequently visiting I was disappointed to find that the leisure company to which the pool had been outsourced had forbidden nude swimming.

In the meantime I had joined two naturist swim clubs who held naked swims at various municipal pools.

So the early morning lido swims were something official?  Informal by custom only?  Or just you?  Sounds like a nice way to start the day.

My first nude swim was a quick dip in a river near where I grew up.  I waited what seemed like an hour to muster the courage and, after having it proved to me again and again that nobody was around, dropped my shorts and in I went.  Naturally two fisherman came into sote just as I did-  the first and only people I saw there all day.

As is commonly the case, they couldn’t care less and kept going.

I think my first one as an Adult was when we were on holiday in the UK, many decades ago. It was a hot day and we were on a normal textile beach with quite a few others, but it wasn't crowed, I had no idea at the time there were CO / nude beaches. I went into the sea for a swim with trunks on and for what ever reason decided to remove them in the sea. I swam and walked in the sea, with the sea being waist height, for 15-20 mins before putting trunks back on and returning to the beach - it was invigorating and repeated the experience several more times that day. I told my wife but as she was in a one piece swim suit, she couldn't do the same.

They were unofficial but tolerated when I first started going but when the South London Swimming Club took on the early morning opening from the council it was formalised to naked swimmers must enter the water in the first half hour after opening.

While it would have likely felt like an unwanted restriction at the time being able to enter nude today- even if only in the first 30 minutes- would be such a treat.
