All of my walks now are through the woods its great to see the wildlife in its own natural environment though I must say some of them have spooked me from time to time. I tend to take my time and enjoy my surroundings taking in the sounds of babbling water or birds whistling and smells of wild garlic or jasmine.
Until recently I have rarely come across textiles though there have been a couple of situations that have been a little uncomfortable but I learn from them and seek guidance from other more experienced in the 'field'.
I'm not a lover of the beach as I am too exposed and with my walks a lot of the paths are straight so it gives me or others approaching time to adjust to passing each other mostly in a positive way too.

There iis nothing like walking through a patch of wild garlic.
I did a nude walk in the woods last year when I was here on this west coast Scottish island. This time, I kept to the path alongside the burn. It was quiet and I met no-one. I took this shot along the way.
I love being in my skin
What a wonderful account Rob. Felt as if I was there in your place.
My first experience was also in woods as a boy. There were four of us, it was a very hot day and the countryside was deserted. We had already taken off our tops in the small clearing but one boy suggested we take off everything. So after a little hesitation I also joined in. The experience was something quite different to anything I had known before, the sense of freedom in the cool air without restriction or embarrassment. We stayed like that for an hour or more just chatting and joking and enjoying the stillness of nature and the birds singing in the trees.
It was a few days later when one of the boys, my best friend told me his siblings and parents often went to naked venues. I was a bit shocked at first but he invited me to come along with the family, said I would enjoy the freedom. So my first real naturist experience came a few weeks later when we all went to what I now know as a naturist club. Again it was a wonderful experience of freedom and liberation; carefree.
Now as an oldie after a 40 year gap my desire to rejoin the naturist way of life can be indulged again. Glad to have found Naturist Corner, and hope I can fit in somehow here.
Best regards. Roger
Thanks Rogersm, those first moments are special indeed
Soul Naked and True
Yes Rob it was special although at first I was very reluctant, having been brought up in a Victorian attitude of "don't look, don't let anyone see, and it's rude". Very restricting but since that first experience I enjoy being nude all the more for that, because it feels like I've shed all those needless and artificial taboos. Free from needless restrictions and emotional no-no's!
Woods can be very peaceful although I remember an early naked walk experience when I was still a little apprehensive. Every tiny rustle and creak sent palpitations through me.
After half an hour, however, it all seemed perfectly calm.
