Yesterday we returned in a very nice naturist place in the mountains around Bologna, between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. It's more a daily club than a camping or resort, there are no rooms, but the compant which owns it also have rural accomodation (textile) or they allow you to sleep in your camper in the parking. There is a lot of space with grass and wood, a pool, a sauna and a steam bath with a lot of "aufguss" during the weekends. There is a tent where you can eat with microwawe oven for your own food or you can order something to eat when you arrive. The best thing is that you are away from roads and other buildings, so you can go hiking around freely nude for kilometers in the hills, without finding other people (and in that case they know there is a naturist site there). It's open from May to September, but in winter time the same company organises monthly naturist evenings in a thermal center at 1 km from there.
A great place, if I have to find a inconvenience, there are some horseflies around because there are a lot of wild animals in the fields and woods around

Thank you for that. We don't hear a great deal about naturist places in Italy on here as not many British make their way there generally compared to France and Spain so it was very interesting to read about it. Sounds a very nice place.

That part of Italy is not very popular among Britons and foreigners in general, but it's close to Florence and Tuscany or Adriatic coast, usually frequented by many tourists. There are some nice naturist spots around and also a naturist camping. It worths a visit.

Here in Italy there aren't naturist clubs like in UK, but this place is something like that. It's not an Association and you pay a daily fee.
Aufguss is German word and means infusion as ice balls with essences are used for producing very hot steam. Someone (usually paid by the spa) throws hot steam on people with a towel with a musical background for about 10 minutes. It's a very strong sensation but many people love it. It comes from Germany but now is very common also in Italy in bigger spas and mostly in naturist gatherings

Had a look at this place with Google maps.....its the way we checked places out while we were travelling .seems nice place...... the price seems a little steep if it's just a day visit but I think w will have a look next time we are near Bologna in the camper van..... can't beat seeing and experiencing somewhere for your selves rather than just reviews online 😉
