As 'Im down in South Wales for a few days I was thinking of spending a few hours at Monknash.
I have read a few posts and one member in particular has been there this time of year and reported a lovely walk from the 'Cwm' to the far end of Wick beach with no one to worry about. It was last autumn and the temp was 13C...! I must admit I've not experienced a naked walk at this temp before!!.I would be interested to read fellow members impressions of this place.
If the weather holds out I may give it a go next week!!

That might have been me! Been out twice this Oct, Wednesday just gone I parked in the field down from the plough as this time of year walking through the fields is to muddy. I stripped off at the top of the path and didn't put my clothes on again until I got back and I walked the full length of the beach to southerndown end up and then around and back across the coastal path, I came down the ladder then back along the beach and up the path and I walked nearly back to my car before putting my clothes back on. Only saw a handful of people, one couple said a cheery hello, another pair of male hikers in full winter gear gave me an odd look and blanked my greeting but all in all with very little wind it was a lovely afternoon didn't feel cold at all. With a bit different timings it could have been interesting as when I got back to my car a mini bus full of college children so around 16-17 years old pulled up and set off towards the beach, ten minutes before and our paths would have crossed.
If the weather improves next week I will most likely be there again!
Hi Cian
Ha ha!..it might have been you!!
Is the car park the one marked on the map as 'parking', opposite a riding stables or is it elsewhere??
One life...live it !...there is no rehearsal!
Yeah keep driving past the plough and Harrow pub for about half a mile and the parking is on the left by the stables. From here it's around 15 minutes stroll to the beach following the stream, make sure to check the tides before you go!
Hi all..
Well, did my first naked walk in October...and do you know what, it was rather good!...more than that, it was really good!
Checked out the tides at Monknash online and aimed to get there well before high tide so my partner and I could wander along the water's edge. However we got there later than planned but no problem, had a nice walk and settled on some rocks on the Monknash side rather than the Wick side. Sheltered, sunny and certainly warm enough...We were the only ones there for a couple of hours. The best weather came along in the afternoon but we had to leave about 2.30...will be checking the weather for another day like this one...fingers crossed!...Anyone else get out today??

Monknash is my favourite place on earth. Strolling there is good for my body and for my soul.
I agree Edward-Baldwin..it is a glorious, slightly wild place with a spirit all of its own!!..I loved resting on the rocks as the waves were lapping just several feet away....and the sound of the sea is not only calming but for me drowns out the tinitus I experience ...such a relief!!..Am in South Wales for a little while and sincerely hope the weather throws up another day like today, for I will be back there like a shot!!..

Gutted I was busy today as the weather was great but apparently it's meant to be the same tomorrow so hoping to head to Monk Nash for a walk, low tide is perfect at 1ish. Don't see many other naturists down there this time of year but maybe tomorrow if anyone is around?

Cian..I was there with my partner last Tuesday and we had a lovely afternoon sunning on the rocks, with a picnic and sheltered from the slight breeze.
Am in the midlands at the moment but heading to South Wales tomorrow ( family issue )...Sadly I doubt I'll be able to get there even if the weather is good but as I'm there for a few days I'm hoping to have a chunk of time 'au naturel' at some point!...fingers crossed the weather holds out!..have a lovely day if you get there..

Just come back from Monknash....a fab day followed by an horrendous drive back up the M4.!!! Dear oh Dear!..is it always like this on a Friday afternoon? It's almost as bad as the M1 between junc 13 and 15 !! However...
Having checked the weather yesterday and the tide times I decided to go this morning after some early chores.
What a super day!...Although cloudy with occasional bright periods the temp was a very acceptable 14C I would say...I stripped off at Monknash and had a lovely walk along the water line and across to the rocks by Wick beach.
A sandwich and a cuppa later, I headed across the rocks to Wick beach...I spied the waterfall at the far end and swelled with recent rains it was cascading invitingly!..Having never stood naked under a waterfall before I made it my objective. Another gentle stroll across to the waterfall and I just had to give it a go!!..and to my surprise it wasn't shockingly cold..it was just great..bracing but not cold. I managed to set my phone up to take a couple of pics ( were I a media member I would have put them up - may be soon??).
I then headed back out to the falling waterline and again a relaxing stroll all the way back to the bottom of the Cwm. In all that time I saw one couple out walking ( at the very beginning) and one runner with a dog in tow.The beach in essence was mine!..a pity my partner couldn't make it today..a cwtch under the waterfall would have been superbly romantic and rather lush!!...next time!!

The waterfall is so beautiful!
Never stood below it. Next summer I'll give it ago 🙂
Nice pic Edward but you should see it now, the volume of water is very much more than in the summer. I have two pics of myself just going into it that 'Im really pleased with...I wish Id just taken one of the waterfall, I could have posted it up for all to see. Maybe I can 'crop' me out of one...Ill have a look!

Well..a lovely day even though it didn't quite go according to plan.. ???
Had intended to go to Kenfig today but high tide was around 10am and this would have resulted in a reduced beach. The best sunshine/warmth was forecast for between mid morning to mid afternoon and so I went to my favourite in this neck of the woods instead...Monknash!...as did quite a few textiles..as it turned out!.. I got there for about 11.45, calculating enough of the beach would be exposed by the receding tide( almost 9m tide ) for me to have a naked stroll but not so much that the dog walkers etc would be out. And so it was... about 10C but very acceptable, especially with the flip flops to insulate my feet ( did this previously barefooted and it was not a good idea with low temp, cold water and slight breeze! )...Stopped at the rocks for a cuppa and a snack and then on to the waterfall for a selfie in the water!!..but there was a queue!!..a young textile couple were taking romantic selfies with a waterfall backdrop, so I courteously slipped on some shorts before getting too close.By the time they moved away two more chaps had come along. One guy said he'd come to have his lunch, the other was on a stroll...we chatted for a while and then a young family appeared..!!..Standing still I was getting cold ...not good..t shirt had to go on...dang!!.so I about turned and headed back to the Cwm...3 more people appeared down the ladders onto the beach whooping and hollering!....more walkers on the cliffs...dog walkers came toward me..Was this a Bank Holiday Monday, I pondered!!...and yet, not one other naturist for moral support!!
It was still a lovely day though...Kenfig next time however...definite!

Typical I have Been off work for six weeks with only one day suitable to go to monknash. Yesterday would have been perfect but I was starting work again, otherwise we probably would have seen each other!
Cian...ahh, work!..sods law!...It was a lovely day there though but am definitely going to give Kenfig a go next chance I get...If you're at either look out for a bloke wearing a light linen flat cap and carrying a 'country' walking stick..that, very likely, will be me !...oh, I may have a red flask too, with tea in it...you'll be most welcome to a cuppa! 🙂
