Have never been to Vera Playa, but have read up about it on line.

What is the weather like in September ?

May be next Year.

I understand there are a number of Naturist urbanisations and a hotel, does any one recommend any in particular ?

The weather in September is typically high 20s and into the 30s. We haven't stayed since 3 visits in 2002-2003 when we rented a house and so I hesitate to make recommendations. But be aware there are also other good naturist beaches only a short drive south of Vera/Garrucha. Photos are attached and despite their age Google Earth shows there has been no development which will be due to the nature of the terrain.

I spent a week at Vera Playa in June in 2007 and 2009 and temperatures were in the 20s.

Both times, I stayed in Apt Jasmine at Vera Natura which is one of a number of naturist urbanisations along the the beach.

Based on my experience, I would recommend Vera Natura but realise this was 10 years ago and things could have changed since then. Vera Natura and the beach gives you the opportunity to be nude 24/7 with the exception of going to the nearby supermarket and Hotel Street in the evening.

I love being in my skin

We go every year in October,  with friends, it's fabulous, the only thing in the uk that competes is Acorns in Devon (best if you have a caravan)
Can't wait till October to be clothes free at Vera.

Should have gone the Hotel Vera Playa Club at the end of September for 2 weeks but the collapse of Thomas Cook, I couldn't get a replacement flight. Off early May 2020 for 2 weeks, this time the flight is with Jet2. Only go Half board as lunch is usually at Benito's 25 metres from the hotel's front door. Cheaper beer/cider and free tapas.

Can anyone recommend a small villa within the naturist area, a pool would be good too.

There are usually properties to rent at Bahia de Vera. It's entirely clothes-free. We have stayed there three times but not since 2003. It also has an excellent outdoor and indoor pool. I did a quick search and it comes up on airbnb, booking.com and homeaway.
