Hi All,
Probably been done to death before but what do you use to cover up? I am getting prepared for my first naked ramble when the weather is a bit warmer, also trying to find some suitable walks in the Surrey area.
Now I do fully appreciate that the best answer is not covering up but on my first foray I am not sure I could cope with that. Equally I don't want to runaway but what is the quickest thing to put on. I have read that kilts are good, but what type as normally a kilt is quite bulky. I have come across the C string but wonder if that is worse than not covering up! Looks to be quick to put on though. Love to get some idea from both the guys and the girls.
I made a camouflage Velcro skirt, very quick to put on, seconds in fact, from a distant looks like shorts.
On my night walks I take this with me an extra long longline T-shirt

I use a ladies cotton beach wrap or a cloth similar to the Indian longhi.

Haven't given this a field test, but I think a belt bag could be suitable (and handy if you need quick access to phone, keys etc).
Thanks for the replies, like the ideas and the camouflage skirt looks s good solution, No-one using a kilt as I did think it was quite popular, particularly if there are some lightweight ones out there.

Actually I do have a Kilt well three proper ones Anderson Tartan and a camouflage one plus two short ones, one has an elastic waist band (you may as well wear shorts), the other is quick to put on but they are too good to carry around so that is why I made the camouflage one.
Good afternoon ,
A slightly modified nightshirt from Slenderella the full button front type, it goes straight over the head in seconds

I wear a kilt when ever I go out to the pub etc I own about 12 now I think. As said though far to heavy, not easy to put on in a hurry, if that's your plan and far to good to wear out in the wilds as it were.
I have a comfy one that I wear round the house which fastens with velcro but even this is a bit awkward to put on quickly, unless you leave it fastened, in which case you might as well use shorts as just the same to slip on.

A sarong is pretty quick to wrap around yourself and so seems like the obvious answer but the problem is that sarongs are pretty flimsy and by no means constitute "proper" textile hiking attire. It sort of depends on what your aim is by covering up, do you merely need something to cover the genitals so as to not offend or are you trying to appear as if you weren't just hiking naked. If the answer is the latter I think the wrap which appears as shorts at a glance that someone else posted seems pretty good.
Personally I try to avoid situations where a cover up would ever be necessary because the anxiety harshes my mellow.
I just have loose shorts, and pull them on,if necessary. One way or another, the tendency is to cover up or turn away, so pulling on shorts works - who cares if they think you're doing something wrong......I have no idea what other people are thinking!
Tribalbrit, that is pretty much what I was looking for! Just need to find an English provider as have had import problems importing from America before.
I found these on ebay which might be just the thing. There are others but I think sizing needs care. ebay item 282904357091
