Thanks to @steveinthet and @pbcad for the information given over the last couple of days.

I went down to Thetford Forest today to a place where I could park the car just after passing Firebreak 29. Took my bag and alpine sticks from the car and went a very short distance along the track and took my shorts and shirt off and put them in the bag. I then strolled along the paths through the trees and along the wider tracks. Only actually met one man and his dog and pleasantries were exchanged. Late I saw a couple with 2 dogs coming my way in the distance. I think they were too far off for them to see I was naked but they veered off onto another path anyway.  I did not see anyone else. I was walking for about 1hr 15 minutes in all. Very enjoyable experience.  I should be doing it again tomorrow so may see Steve there.

@steveinthet

Hi

Yes it was a bit further on the right after 29. It appears that somebody had some sort of roadside fire at some point as there was a lot of burnt stuff around

Great to meet you this morning @steveinthet and I enjoyed our chat. I stayed on for a further 40 minutes after you left and it was a lovely walk.  I saw a couple  (not naturist) in the distance but I turned down another footpath to avoid them.  I will not get there again this week but hope to do so again in the near future so I may see you again at some stage.  Thanks once again for letting me know about this walk.

I'm interested in the Thetford walks but don't know the forest at all. I drive through it on the A11, that's about it!

@silverfox222

At the roundabout where A134 from Kings Lynn meets the A11 take the A134 north, pass Thetford Power Station on the left. Carry on until you see a turning on the right to East Wretham. Watch for Firebreak 29 on the right and go past. A short distance further along on the right there is a place where 2 or perhaps 3 cars can park. It appears that someone had lit a fire there at some stage as there is ash etc. There is a footpath into the forest. You will see from this thread that this is the spot that (@steveinthet) and I have used. Hope this helps. Maybe see you there one day.

@normski

Thanks for that Norman.
that’s about an hour away along A47 & A11 for me. I’m on the east Norfolk coast.
I’ll certainly keep it in mind as and when time/work/weather permits.

I am in mid Norfolk and always keen to find new locations. Thanks for the detailed directions, I will be trying it as soon as the sun shines again.

Thanks to an exploration of Natural England's website and their interactive map of right to roam areas I headed off to Swaffham heath today. Walked for just over an hour and a half through forest paths. A light rain fell early on but with my clothes safely stowed in my bag I knew I would have something dry to put on at the end of the walk. The sun soon broke through and it proved a perfect walk. Only encountered one person, a man in his 50s or early 60s. I decided he looked suitably robust so rather than covering up just moved my shoulder bag to provide some discretion. We chatted for a while and he seemed perfectly happy about it, wishing me a pleasant walk.

If anyone is thinking of trying the area just be advised some recent forestry work has rendered some of the forest tracks as very deeply rutted.

Been down to Thetford Forest today for another naturist walk 1hr 45 mins 3.5 miles only met two men with their dogs (separately). Just said "Good morning - lovely day today" and their responses were in agreement - nice and pleasant. Instead of donning shorts before getting in the car I remained naked, placed my shirt on the seat and drove naked almost all the way home - just pulled into lay by 5 mins from home to put the shorts on, It would be a bit close for comfort to actually carry on until I got home. As soon as I got in the shorts came off.
