First post...hope I get it right and in the correct place..lol!
After having had my first naturist experience in France I was keen to ensure my partner had an equally enjoyable and confidence building experience here in the UK. It was to Studland we ventured ( as Nat Trust members parking was free for us and a lovely walk to the naturist section.)

We had a wonderful 3 days over the bank holiday and was stunned by the numbers of textiles squashed into the section near the facilities but equally stunned and reassured by the numbers enjoying the naturist area!!
Yes, there were some gawpers and odd guys parading up and down but no one bothered us and we had a great time. We have been back since and on that occasion a single guy did 'attach' himself to us...talking and chatting incessantly about inane stuff!..We were polite and he didn't 'cross the line' in any way but it was a gentle learning curve for us and indicated that just as you find in pubs, clubs and other walks of life some peoples attentions can be unsolicited and/or undesirable and you need to be ready to calmly, politely but firmly deter them....That said, we are not deterred and in fact, looking forward to more sunsoaking 'au naturel'...hope the weather stays fine for this weekend...we're definitely going somewhere!!!

It’s been brilliant this year because of the ferry being out of action, which has meant far less textiles visiting the beech and a much better atmosphere if that makes sense.

I've noticed that too this year. Ferry out of action, & people not willing to make the longer trip round to Corfe Castle. Parking has been easier and a quieter beach in general, even on hot days

We had another fantastic day on Studland beech today, weather was fantastic, light wind in the afternoon keeping the heat down.

I would say it’s the busiest I’ve ever seen it outside the main holiday season 95% naturist today as there where no Textile holiday makers out.

Looking forward tomorrow should be a scorcher !

Love to be down there with you but reading about the gridlock that occurring I think I’ll stick with my garden for now

I have read that the ferry is running again - true or 'fake news'?

Just wondering if anyone was at Studland yesterday and if it was as packed as the news showed Bournemouth beach to be?

Well from what I read only gridlock for the chain ferry passengers was the issue. So I suspect if you had made it across or took the long way round you were probably ok.

although if you, like us enjoy the privacy of the dunes from the shoreline walkers then I still struggle to see how the 2m distancing works given the paths are along the dunes you can set up on.

Weather looks great for tomorrow. We’re both looking forward to a day down at Studland. Does anyone know if it’s card on,y payments for the parking?

As Nat Trust members we are able to take advantage of the free parking but do know you can pay by card at the machines.Payment by cash is usually taken at the kiosk on the way to the car park but you will need to go on their website to see if it is now open.

It's worth joining the Nat Trust if you are regular visitors to any of their sites. You save your yearly fee in around 10 or so visits to 'free' car parks.

If it’s for the parking only then get a single. We do cost national trust site but we’re going down from family to couple to save money

How quickly a word falls from the usage. I can't remember the last time I heard anyone use the word homosexual. It must be years and nowadays it is gay or LGBT (with an optional few extra letters attached). I once knew a lad who would refer to gay men as "sodomites" an even more outdated term. 

Went to Studland last August bank holiday as a must do and was not disappointed at all. Great beach and a great swim too. Air dried back to the boundary marker which was very pleasant. Did notice a couple of not very subtle idiots, as did my wife, but chose to ignore them but kept a keen eye on them in case they over stepped the mark! Beach was still incredible to enjoy!

I must admit, when we’re on Studlands, our picnic of olives, cheeses and wines plus our gingham table clothed whilst playing Susan Boyle on the MP3 player probably says not swingers more than anything else. ;o)

But we do (correctly or incorrectly) assume that any couple with windbreakers fully around them with the guy constantly standing up as swinger couples. But then I maybe, unfairly, applying unfair unconscious bias.

Looking forward to visiting Studland in mid September and staying in Swanage! Would it be better to take the bus (50 I think) to the ferry crossing and getting off one stop before or is the walk worthwhile? Any assistance would be very much appreciated, thank you! 😎
