@jorrox No but the police know who they are because he rang the police to lie about what I was doing. Fortunately the police know me and believed me that it was him that was being aggressive. They told him I wasn't doing anything wrong and to leave me alone.

@dgildoo

Not you gildo, I was replying to banditman.  However, your comment is interesting as it shows that men are just as capable of making malicious false accusations as women.

Funnily enough, I had an unpleasant encounter about being naked... when I wasn't !!!

I have returned from hiking with my friend Sarah, who I'm convinced would rather die than be seen without any clothes on, and was walking up the road to have a look in a skip that I had passed in the car, the skip had an interesting door that I might be able to recycle.

Now, when hiking with non-naturists I tend to wear a pair of swimming shorts that, it could be argued, are rather short and tight - think Speedos but with short legs, rather than the usual skimpy line that Speedos take across your backside.  I'm in pretty good condition and I'm quite proud of my bum dimples 🙂

So I'm walking up the road with my jacket on, this covers my backside so, from the rear, it's entirely possible that I would look as though I'm not wearing anything under my jacket.

From behind I hear laughter initially, then someone shouting that I have no "pants" on (this being a local word for "trousers", has been since way before the advent of American culture) and that I'm DIRTY.  I walk on.

One of the braver lads catches up to me and tells me that I'm naked.  I reply that I'm not, I'm wearing shorts and lift my jacket to show him.  I clock that this is a group of Asian lads, we have a lot of people of Pakistani and Bangladeshi heritage here, with a few Indians.  I know that the Islamic culture frowns on flesh being on show, it's rare to see them uncovered at all outdoors.  These lads may or may not have been devout but they certainly will be infused in their local cultural expectations.

I tell the lad that I have been hiking and that this is my normal gear when I'm out hiking and he keeps telling me that I'm naked and I repeat that I'n not.  One of them shouts that I should "at least pull them down a bit" - but that would not help, they would be swiftly around my ankles... and I can't imagine that will defuse matters greatly.

I press on, to the skip, ignoring the hullabaloo from behind me.

The door is no good, someone has taken an angle grinder to the frame.

I turn round, crossing the road to avoid the bunch of 10 or 12 lads, who of course cross to meet me and continue to try to tell me that I'm naked, I reply that this is "just not true though, is it?" and make my way home.  Thankfully they go their way, I go mine.

Given the size of the group I was not minded to stand my ground and educate them in the joys of naturism - I doubt they would be convinced.  I'm glad it did not come to violence, I'm much of a fighter at the best of times, I don't think I would have fared well against a group of that size.

The irony is that I had just been to the local country park, wall to wall with families with young kids.  Not a drop of trouble.

It sounds as though Davey has had rather more success than me.  Well done Davey.
