Can anyone please tell me if Ardeer Beach is still frequented by nudists?

I have recently started going to Ardeer Beach and becoming a fan of the place, its getting busier now that the council and police are confirming it official again, despite the signs keep getting robbed, but I will be going there many times this summer 🙂

We were there two weeks ago. It was deserted, apart from another couple of dog walkers. Possibly the weather, had something to do with it. (It's Scotland) Sunny, but a very cold wind, coming off the sea. Sunny enough to be nude, in our sheltered, and private garden, 43 miles inland. We will return some time.

Wasn't it still snowing back then? Brr

It was still a well used beach last summer. Upto 20 people on the hotter days. We're hoping to get back their soon.

For anyone that hasn't been and would like to make sure you walk past the giant picture of Robert Burns before stripping off your bottom half is the normal rule. Other wise you could be seen from the park. Normal a few people go further up past the doon for more privacy

We made it today. Brilliant weather and quite busy. Is anyone planning on going in the next couple weeks?

This was my first beach to get my nude body out to the world only came along it by accident over 20 years ago.
I was out for an afternoon stroll along the beach with an old girlfriend. After a while as we passed the picture of Rabbie Burns we saw a guy walking towards us naked. We were a little taken back at the time but as we walked further down the beach we saw more naked people.
This we talked & decided to give ago. I managed to get the bug it was exhilarating having the breeze & sun on my naked flesh & I have never looked back. My girlfriend never went back but I would sneak up there if I had an afternoon of work without telling.
Brilliant times.

Having attempted to visit two beaches in the South of England a few weeks ago (Eastney and Studland) but not managing to get my kit off as it was darned chilly and blowing a gale, I did manage to visit my local beach at Ardeer the past few days and enjoy some really pleasant, warm sunshine. Today it's been generally cloudy with some heavy rain, thunder and lightning, so no trip to the beach today!

It's my local naturist beach, so my husband and I go there often when the weather is good enough (it's Scotland so it's not that often). You walk about half a mile from the start of the beach to get to the nudist section, then there's another half mile or so frequented by cruising gay guys, then another mile of generally very quiet sandy beach right up to the river at Irvine.

No facilities, but a lovely spot with great views of Arran.
