I plan to be in Kenfig, probably I will stay near the shipwreck.
If you happen to see a nude dude with a blue bandana, please shout "Ed" and join me for a naturist stroll.
Kenfig is a gloriously lovely beach. but we have been slightly put off recently at the number of single males who now seem to congregate in the area previously frequented by couples. Nothing whatsoever against single males, who I assume are hetro, as there is also a well known gay section at Kenfig, near the ship wreck. But we were told last summer by a regular that some guys are contacting each other by mobile when a few couples are 'in-situ'. Whilst my partner is far from shy it can be a bit frustrating when guys frequently walk past our chosen spot for what is clearly a good oggle and in the hope of seeing more than sun bathing. We're now frequenting other south Wales beaches for the time being. We'll probably return to try Kenfig on a quiet week day.
I fully understand your concern. I stayed a bit after the shipwreck, namely towards Morfa beach.
This section of the beach is really free. Please check the attached map
