I see there's one reference in the Forum many years ago to Goswick, slightly north of Holy Island, but none to Cheswick, the next section up. Looking from Holy Island at low tide, there's a massive expanse of sand that looks perfect for a naked wander, provided you don't get caught by a rising tide, and the wind isn't too bracing.

Thinking about the upcoming hot weekend, camping nearby and having an explore, as well as a visit to nearby Ross Back Sands (discussed elsewhere). Any comments on Goswick and Cheswick?

There are quicksands there.

@jorrox  - thanks - no surprise I guess. The weather forecast has changed and we're now staying in Cumbria this weekend.
