I was out on the common mid-afternoon, and yeah, almost nobody about, seemed too hot even for the wildlife until I saw a deer in the usual spot and surprised a family of green woodpeckers late in my walk. Having been at the coast last week and then taken a paddle in the stream that goes through our village this evening, I concur that the one thing missing at Sherwood is a spot of water to cool off. Occasionally the water jets in the field along the cycle path do the trick.

More naturists than textiles out today, saw six naturists, walked with a guy and his girlfriend for a while and had a chat, which was nice.

Had about 30 minutes bare foot then decided if I had to carry my shoes I may aswell carry them on my feet.

Not much wildlife about today, probably to hot.

Been out three times recently ourselves, and same for how quiet it's been for people, quiet enough for my partner to go naturist a little more too. Apart from how it's much more pleasant to walk that way in this weather she said she also felt it's good for women to be seen doing it because it might help the locals/textiles to understand all this naked walking at Sherwood isn't a strange men thing. Okay, she didn't exactly put it like that, I can't remember exactly how her version went but it was much nicer anyway. What helped her get back into it was bumping into another couple the evening before, both naked and a rather inspiring chat we had with them about the sense of freedom the place has these days, the woman describing how well received she was at work when her colleagues discovered her fondness for naked walks.

We've done pretty well for the wildlife in the early evening. It's so quiet a family of green woodpeckers have taken residence on the central crossroads on the common, and there's a deer we see everytime now, today it stopped us right in our tracks because we suddenly realised it was just 5-feet away the other side of the fence. Amazing close encounter.

Same couple I walked with yesterday, I have known him for a while now but it was nice to see him and his partner walking hand in hand. They told me about your meeting as I asked if they had seen you lately, as I haven't

She did say she has a friend that would like to walk naked but never dared to. May be now she will.

As you say the more females there are out there the less we look like a bunch of strange men.

I was surprised by a lone female birder today, I hadn't seen her and walked within a few feet of her, She shouted, "fantastic, you must be loving this weather", we chatted for a while.

I think more people may be avoiding the common but those that do visit are far more at ease with the naturists lately.

Nipped out at 6 pm, thought it would be quiet as very hot, 36 degrees when I parked up. How wrong was I? I met 7 other naturists in the hour and 20 minutes I was out.

2 sets of two and 3 singular. Only one of them had I met before, he and I walked together for 30 minutes then he turned back as it got to hot for him.

Didn't see any other people apart from the naturists, what do they say about mad dogs and naturist men?

It's dangerously dry out there and most of the paths are like walking on a sandy beach, more of the same tomorrow or even hotter. You'd think after laying bricks all day I'd keep out of the sun a bit.... Nahhh. 😎

@tribalbrit I knew there would be a lot of naturists out tonight. I would have joined them but I was out for a couple of hours at 11 am and I knew how hot it would be.

I have just walked the perimeter of the area of Budby South Forest and then a little walk within the area to give people some idea of where they can walk. This area is all open access land and you can walk anywhere on it. The fences are just to keep the cattle in. There are also notices back up to let the public know they might encounter naturists in this area. The police also know this area is used by naturists and they know the law on naturism.
The little walk on the left of the map is the way to or from the waterworks car park

H&S not to bad on our site, self employed but working for a private developer on a the fourth floor of a block of flats at the minute . shorts rolled up on legs down on the waist, I could probably get away with no shorts but the three work mates wouldn't be happy.

I spent 15 minutes sat in the water butt this afternoon, stripped off and climbed in, they had a good laugh but I was far cooler than them.

A cool 26 forecast for tomorrow so happy days.

@dgildoo

A few of those out yesterday were asking where they could walk, I explained about the common and the forest but said they might get lost in the forest if unfamiliar with it, especially when the dark draws in.

As I was chatting to two naturists on the way back to my car about the very same thing another naturist shouted to ask if he could join us, as he did so he was obviously very happy to see us, if you know what I mean! 😉. He was carrying nothing but a bottle of water and I couldn't help wondering how that would be perceived if he met some textiles and how he could possibly cover it up.

Sorry if the guy concerned reads this but you could have taken some ones eye out. I left the three of them to walk on.

@tribalbrit Thats why I have provided a plan of the area for all of the naturist groups that want to walk there. As for the bloke who could take your eye out lets hope he soon gets over it.

Today I arrived at the waterworks at about 10.15 and, as I started my walk (sadly still in my shorts at the car park) I met Gildo and another naked gent. They were on a 14 mile walk taking in Clumber Park. I declined my invitation to join them pleading bad knees. Further into my walk (by then naked myself) I met another naturist on my path, (with whom I walked for a while) then, as we chatted, 4 other naturists came by. All in all 8 naked persons encountered today (including myself). Not one walking person I met had clothes on! What a wonderful place it is.

I had a really good 14 mile naked walk this morning with another naturist. We walked on the cycle track all the way to the outskirts of Clumber and we did not meet anyone. I have never walked this route before and seen so few people In all we encountered less than half a dozen people in all in other areas. Here is a map of the walk if anyone else would like to try it.

@swimmer51

Your right, since Sunday I have met at least 18 naturists that I haven't seen before and very few clothed people.

Bit quiet tonight, just two naturists and no one else.

It's Great.
