Lovely photo Eva. I like the "watercolour" look.
Oh thank you Youngman and fellow photographer, one day soon I hope to equal your insect photo.
I resized the original for uploading.
Young man. That's a phrase I haven't heard for a long time.. lol
I bet once you have your lens and shot a few insects, you will look at mine and go "I wouldn't have done it like that..."
I hope my previous comment didn't come across is the wrong way. I really do love the different hues in the blue flower. It has those subtle colours and texture of a watercolour painting. I've spent many an hour trying to get a watercolour painting to look just like that.
Do you have any of your photos on the internet. Do you use any sites such as Flickr?
bottom line is... if you want macro you need the right kit, you can "play" with lens adapters, but I have never been satisfied with the final output.
unfortunately decent glass costs $$$$$
Any chance you might like to show us one of your macro photos and what kit you have?
Christmas will soon be here. 😉 🙂

Odd - I've used cheap filters, never had a dedicated macro lens, but I've got some decent results. Ok, so I can't zoom right in to the eye of a fly, but I can definitely get some decent shots. It just takes time and patience. A good photographer can get good results even with basic kit.
