The one area I have neglected a bit in my photography is shooting people in a studio.  I have lights and stuff for doing macro/close-up shots indoors but they would be useless for photographing people.

I was thinking of hiring a studio to have a play.  Can anyone recommend any good studios (with equipment) for hire in Yorkshire?

I see there are a few on here that do portraits (I assume in studios) so I was wondering what everyone else does?  Have you got your own studio?  Any tips on what equipment to use/avoid would be appreciated. 🙂

Hi,
We looked into hiring a studio and found most wanted silly money as deposits in case of breakages this made it far too expensive for us

I hadn't noticed anything about deposits.  I will watch out for that, thanks. 🙂

Most studio's should have lights there and with lighting gels. I would always go to the studio 1st before booking it, have a good look around ask them what comes with booking the studio i.e lights, lighting gels, polystyrene sheets, helper (Some studio's will have someone on hand to help you set up and to give you pointers if you need them)
