one of our favourite beaches was grande cosse in the south of france, a good mile long which you can walk naturist, about 50 yards wide with clean soft sand & a beach bar selling lovely french snacks & cold beer

Yes was one of my first naturist holidays abroad.
Thoroughly enjoyed Grande Cosse.
Mind you I believe you have to be lucky with the wind, because sometimes in can smell at the campsite.

Anti Paros has a wonderful naturist beach   That's in Greece, Aegian, north bit. The water is clear and warm. But too dear to get there too often.

So I suppose the one we visit most is Slapton and must be the economic favorite best beach for us.

Rather than wide expanses of sand, we tend to prefer much smaller beaches, especially when they are encased in rocky landscape - I suppose that "cove" would be the correct word in English?
Such as "La plage du Rossignol" (see photo below - not an official nude beach, but one that is nevertheless much used by nudists) which is near the "Plage du Layet" that I've been mentioning in a couple of posts in this forum, close to Le Lavandou on the French Med coast.
Oh, and by the way, Le Lavandou is the place where Victor Silvester died. But that probably means nothing to anyone younger than I am. 🙁 In any case, don't let that put you off. 🙂

We did spend a couple of weeks in El Portus years ago (must have been the late eighties). We quite enjoyed it, but the campsite was then quite new, the swimming pool was only a hole in the ground without water, and the trees were small, so that there was no shade. We loved the beach, yes.
We also gave Vera Playa a try while we were there, and we stopped at another naturist site in Garrucha (Las Palmeras, or some such name).
