Back from Crete, we went to Sweetwater by boat from Sfakion, four euro each way, lovely quiet beach with a small taverna, good prices. The beach was about seventy five percent naturist, we really enjoyed it. 😀

One of the best holidays I ever had was in Crete. Rented a small house off the beaten track and right by a small beach, spent a whole fortnight mostly naked, even the owner who came round with pastries and eggs on a regular basis was not phased by mine and my partner's nudity.

I have been to Plakias on Crete and thought it was great. The best part of the beach is where the naturists are. It is the furthest part away from the town but not too far to walk.
Another place i have been to is Arillas on Corfu were there is a good naturist beach.

One of the best beaches we have been on was at Matala on the south coast it was call Red Beach  a bit remote but worth the effort.

The first naturist beach I ever went to abroad was on Crete - a place aclled Vai - far north east of the island.  It was a bit of a hairy drive in the jeep I hired, but well worth the visit.  Unspoilt beautiful beach, no touristy beach bars, turquoise sea, coarse sand and surrounded by date palms (which rumour has it that the palm groves started when the romans invaded thousands of years ago disgarding their date stones on the beach).

This was over 25 years ago - does anyone know what it's like now?
