Did anyone see the lovely Julia walking the German coast at Reugen on BBC4 yesterday?  Briefly touched on FKK and the Germans love of naturism with a few coy out of focus shots
I'm curious about the area itself, the German coast is overlooked by many, and it looked pretty windy when the program was being made. Has anyone visited the area - what's the summer weather / sea temperature like here?

It's a north facing coast on the North Sea.
If you have ever bathed at Skegness you will know.

If you learnt to swim at Skegness you will never complain about pool temperatures.  🙂

As kids our seaside trips were always to Spurn Point which I guess is further north than tropical Skeggy! Spurn is quite a weird place and thinking back, the place where thirty years ago I had my first naked swim.

No - I'm based in Southampton now, Spurn was our day trip bech destination as kids - we loved it, as it was much more 'exotic' than Brid or Scarborough where everyone else went!

The time I swam naked at Spurn, I was about seventeen. Caught the train to Hull and cycled the rest of the way. I only lasted about five minutes in the sea, though!
