That beach is a just short stretch of the C-O beach which runs approximately 170 miles from near la Tremblade in Charante Maritime to the Spanish border with interruptions for the Gironde Estuary, the Arachon inlet and a few town beaches.

Yes 170ish miles of beach right to the Spanish border.  Many moons ago I stayed at Carcans Plage for 3 fabulous weeks in a chalet and during that time visited many of the great beaches (one big beach really) between the Gironde Estuary and Arcachon.  As you and Gez say, you can walk naked on the beach for miles I did for over 3 hours one day.
To me it was like walking on a desert island, mine being the only footprints in the sand as far as the eye can see.  Loved it there I wonder how much it has changed...

I've only been to 2 that's cap'd agde town beach and La grande cosse.

mmmm Define "Best". As for France our votes for best Naturiste Plage:
1. West Coast by Euronat for calmness size and lack of textiles gawping just comfortable.
2. Cote Sauvage north west of Royan best for body surfing...watch the tides can be awesome and currents very strong
3. St. Aygulf in South for easy access to Cannes, Nice and St. Tropez and soaking up the Riviera atmosphere without the traffic and hassle. Also very friendly and quiet little beach area...but buy at weekends.
4. Serignan Nature, laid back naturist campsite with lots of facilities but not huge like Euronat or Agde on the beach not far from Beziers. Textile campsite adjoining Serignan Plage if you want to camp with clothes on and use nude beach.

Wherever enjoy it is all an opinion.

We go to a wonderful small beach called "Le Layet" near to Lavandou - no textiles gawping, and they have a nice beach bar for lunch (but they do expect you to cover up). Other beach visitors are very friendly from all over Europe - lots of Brits as well. However, in July & August have to get there early for a decent spot and somewhere to park - apart from that wondeful place to pass the day.

I'm staying in Bordeaux for a week in August but I don't drive.  Are any of the beaches in the South West mentioned easily accessible by train/bus?

we like to go near euronat we stay on the aries in the town close  to euronat .
2 weeks cost us 49 euros in july 2010 .

I assume that you will be in the city of Bordeaux and that you will have a whole free day to beach visit.
In that case I suggest taking the local train north to Soulac-sur-Mer. The stretch of beach north of the town includes a naturist beach which I know to be signposted as such from the main road. On foot it would involve a mile or so walk from the rail station, but there is a little tourist railcar which travels that part of the coast in season.
The railway journey between Bordeaux and Soulac is worthwhile in its own right for the Medoc wine country through which it passes.

I am almost sure that there are also bus services from central Bordeaux to such places as Montalivet-les-Bains - a typical tiny French seaside holiday town distinguished only by having Euronat and CHM immediately north and south respectively. Only the half mile of beach immediately in front of the town is textile.

This should give you something to start from if nobody has any better ideas.
