Hi, I've been to a brilliant non-naturist campsite in La Tranche sur Mer in the Vendee a couple of times and only when I got back after the last holiday I was told there is a naturist beach at or near the town. Has anybody here got any info about it?
Smooth again, stayed hairy for as long as I could.
I am sure there is as West Coats of France, although less so above the Gironde has many naturist beaches.
We love a beach along side La Foret D Olonne, between Olonne Sur Mer and Brem Sur Mer just north of La Tranche Sur Mer.
Long beach lots of naturists, fairly peaceful swimming is relatively safe (baring in mind west coast can be dangerous).
Just a great beach and loads of campsites in area, sadly mainly textile, but we can live in textile camp if we like the naturist beach nearby.

Hi,
This is going to test my memory! Our first family naturist beach experience was whilst staying at Du Jard in La Tranche Sur Mer. I had heard of naturist beaches to the south of Tranche at La Faute sur mer. It was probably 5 miles or so from Du Jard.
The beach here is massive but I recall seeing the "Plage Naturiste" signposted on the roads in the area. We headed for what we thought was the nearest car park and decamped onto a very textile beach. Hmm says I!! After about 20 mins we became aware of folks walking down to the waters edge then heading off to the left. I went for an explore and sure enough about a mile away was the naturist beach. Loved it! Following year we booked into Arna for two weeks and the rest is history!!
What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?
Thanks guys, with the distance mentioned by IainShani I think the one I heard about is to the north, so probably the one Al James mentions. I remember seeing Du Jard, we were on the other side at Camping Bel.
