More rock than sand in most of Croatia, sadly. However, go anyway because it's beautiful!

All parts of the coast have their attractions; obviously, it gets warmer the further south you go.

You can take your clothes off, on a reasonably secluded beach, pretty well anywhere but if you want to research the official ones, the Internet is, as always, your ally. A good place to start might be http://www.cronatur.com/ .

If you're after sand, personally I hate the stuff so I'm delighted Croatia is rocky, the only one I can remember going to is Sunj on Lopud island divided by a line in the middle, nuds to the left, clothed to the right. A gorgeous beach, sand notwithstanding. Very popular with Dubrovnik locals who moor their boats off shore at weekends. Usually a bar open as well.

There's also supposed to be a few on Rab island but have not made it there..yet. In Istria it's rock or pebbles.

Yacht charter is quite good in Croatia, especially for finding nice beaches. Avoid sunsail though and try bareboating . . . you may need to hire a naturist yacht skipper though!  😎

Croatia has so many other definable and indefinable advantages, I've never thought the lack of big sweeping bays matter tbh..it's just addictive!

It is to eat out certainly as regards food quality..supermarket prices are on a par with here.

Just one bit of advice..don't get into a rakija drinking contest with the locals..

I stayed in a great campsite on Korcula island last summer and frequented a lovely nudist area of the coast. It was all rocky though (only a small section had sand which wasnt naturist).

There was quite a lot of people along the rocky area but the rocky areas are quite short and long so you couldn't call them crowded!

The water is absolutely beautiful to swim in though, nice and warm and real clear and buoyant. I'd love to go back there again.

Sadly the trip has fallen through but we do have a definate trip booked to Kafeliona, from what I have read not great for nudists but it was the only last minute thing we could find.

I've not been to Kefalonia for a good few years but there was a naturist beach at Skala but I've no idea if it's still in use, I did hear something about the authorities cracking down on it a few years back.

I have just returned home from a holiday in Dubrovnik (Babin kuk) with the wife, and although I like to embrace naturism when I can, the wife is not so sure, so I was very pleased when she deciced to give it a go on Cava Beach. We had visited Lokrum island, but the other half having had too much sun the day before, would not try out the fkk area. I feared this was our opportunity for the week had gone, but after eventually finding Cava Beach the next day and settling down, we both enjoyed a few hours there, after hiring a much needed parasol. I must say swimming naked in the crystal clear waters, goes down as one of the best experiences of my life.
