This must be one of the best in terms of scenery, tranquility and space (when the tide's out). I first visited in the long hot summer of 76, free and single it was the best place to be. Not as much frequented by families as years ago, it still retains an attraction for me if I haven't time to go to the club,
Last year access was ok for able-bodied and sea was clean. Will report more when I visit for the first time this year. Bruce
I have fond memories of Fairlight - from about the same time. Tide was in and the water was still and could see to the bottom. This was an early experience for me and my then wife - on the walk over the rocks she stumbled and put her hands out to save herself only to be confronted with a naked male. As she could not grab the "appendage"- she fell and burst into a fit of the giggles.

Fairlight Cove (near Hastings) is still accessible for able bodied naturists but there has been some damage over the winter. Just take it easy.

I like Fairlight but it's such a mission to get there and if you forget something your in a pickle.
What is good (for us anyway) is that the beach at Bexhill/Cooden seems to now be 'recognised' by the local authorities (see pic).

Thanks for the info on Cooden. Is it anywhere near Cooden Beach station ?
John
YES!
If you get off at Cooden and head to the beach then head West for about 20minutes you are there. It's another 250m past the boat house.
