I have 3 favourites, Holkham is a fantastic place but not so good when the wind blows in off the North Sea !!!!
Studland is my nearest and I love it there. I endeavour to get there every sunny saturday
My 3rd favourite is at the far end of the beach from Peranporth - it has a name but I know it as Perranporth
Great there the beach slopes gently into the sea and its so far from the town that you are not troubled by " gawkers "

rickdorest you don't appreciate how lucky you are?  Apart from the South coast there are fewer than half a dozen beaches in the UK which are really suitable.  Living on Merseyside though we have long beaches the Sea is a long way out, the councils and the police hostile.  In the south there are at least some official beaches and many unofficial ones and a lot more public acceptance.

My naturism has mainly been on holiday in Europe where it's a lot warmer.

Oh I don't know about that really, I can think of at least 3 local to me here in Pembrokeshire without really thinking!!! OK non of them are 'official' beaches but are suitable and are used by naturists - including myself :).

cheers, Tim

Studland is great but can get a bit "iffy" if you venture into the dunes

Slapton never got a mention. But I agree with the comment about Studland. We have only managed to get there once, and seeing as it was a bit windy we went into the dunes. It wasn't long before we seemed to attract a lot of male attention. But is was funny to see them jump when our little yorkie barked at them.
We have not been put off though and intend to get back there some time.

Studland is the only naturist beach I have ever been to and I love it.  In my experience if the voyeurs in the dunes get too much, turn your camera on them.  They soon disappear  ;D

We love Studland, despite the dune dwellers, but there are others we enjoy- Weston Mouth is quiet, probably because getting there is energetic, but Budleigh Salterton is also pleasant, if a little pebbly.  We went to Vault Beach (west of Mevagissey) late last year and that was sheltered and deserted - again a bit of a hike, but I think there may be a car park near the top of the cliff rather than walk from Mevvy.

Further afield the vast beaches of Aquitaine are fantastic! Not only do you get the warm weather but the Atlantic is suitably invigorating and they are so big you can always find a quiet spot.

My fave is Swanlake Bay between Freshwater East and Manorbier here in Pembrokeshire. Is is an unofficial beach but naturists and textiles seem to live happily side by side. I have even been known to spend the night there in my sleeping bag!

The only other 2 beaches I have ever been to as a naturist are Studland and Fraisthorpe, Swanlake is better IMHO and I can cycle there in 45 mins 🙂

We are planning on doing a tour of Wales this summer and plan to give Morfa a go.

cheers, Tim
