I was glad to see there were four beaches in the West of Ireland on the CO beaches pages.  Yes they are probably unusable for most of the summer due to rain, wind, cold etc but would be really be interested in knowing if anybody has any practical experience of these beaches.  I am visiting there at the end of July and you can always be hopeful.  Thanks

I went to Kerry in June and spent time on the magnificent beach at Inch part of which is naturist. Family friendly and just beautiful - you should go there.

Thanks for the reply.  We did actual get to Inch beach at end of July.  Weather was ok, no evidence of naturists on the beach even though we did go down to the far end of the beach. Dunes at the back did offer shelter and privacy but miles from the water then.  Is there a particular part of the beach that naturist go to or is it just at the end?

Amused at the cars that drove along the beach only to get stuck in patch of soft sand.
