... Of most of west wales on my bike. My route takes me within acceptable distance of the gower, and very close to pembrey and amroth. The question I have is which to stop at ? Given that I am using my very expensive and new road bike, I do not want to have to tackle great distances of sand (gears and sand do not mix) or mountain bike type terrain.
Suggestions and prayers for good weather would be greatfully accepted ! 🙂
Hi Cordon.
You really must go to Tything Barn, either as a day visit, or camp there.
If its in school holidays, the owners are a bit funny about singles camping, so phone them first.
It is near to a place called West williamston, north of A477 towards Pembroke.
It is probably better than a naturist beach. Honest!

amberambler.. I actually have a holiday home unbelievably close to tything barn, infact I have cycled past it numerous times ! But is it a place that I can just visit for the day ?, as camping there when I have a bed and central heating mere miles away is lunacy ! 😀
Hi Cordon.
Yes, you can visit TB on a daily basis. Many locals do. You really must try it on a sunny day. I guarantee that you will return!
Take some lunch as there are no facilities on site, only taps, loos and a shower.
Google Earth it to see where you can wander on site. Failing that, Joe will tell you when you book in and pay.
