Any insight into this beach, parking, best routes to get to it etc.
I have read the NUFF and NatCorn reports already.

Thinking of a visit whilst at Nudefest nearby. Possibly organise a visit but could do with some first hand help.

I went and did a recce at last years Nudefest.
Yes you can drive through the Haven Camp (which is slow and about a mile) to an un-made car park at the far end. There are two areas close together and would probably hold around 25 cars combined. There is a parking fee (about £6-8 IIRC) and you have to go a good way back to the reception to pay.
The parking is on a very high point in the dunes and sandy paths lead down to the textile part of the beach. It looks to be about a mile each way to the naturist section. You would need to be reasonably fit to enjoy the walk and keep the luggage down.

I am OK but worried taking a group may be a bit too much for some. Can anyone tell me it is easier than it looks?

Just had this from a local
As for getting to Perran beach ...... I think somebody has replied to your discussion, by saying you can park in the Haven Holiday Park. I believe this is correct,

altho we've never parked there. We park on the road up from the site and walk out across Penhale Sands.
To get there you need to drive as if you are going into Perranporth, along the B3285, and as you go along that road there is a cross roads, signposted for Rose I think. Turn Right there, go through the village and park at the end of that road, or pull onto the other road and park along the side of that road instead.
Walk through the gates and look for some White Painted stones. Follow these down, cross a dried up stream bed, and follow past St Pirans Oratory and onto the top of the dunes. You can either go down the dunes and along the beach or along the South West Coast path, through the Military Camp site, ( it has public right of way) and down the path at the end, closer to the top of the beach. Unfortunately it is about a 40 minute walk, but it does mean there is nothing to pay for parking ! lol
If you've got an OS map Landranger series, the grid ref for the turn is 777 545 and the parking spot is at 775 554.

Keep On Smiling:)

Thanks for that. I know where you mean re the parking spot. When I had a drive around last year we noticed cars parked there. It was well worn so obviously well used. Probably worth saving a big parking fee, but looks like nearly 2 mile walk each way. (nearly twice the distance)
Is the walk on soft sand &/or up and down dunes much?
Can it be walked nude?
Or is this a no no following the hassle a couple of years back from the Army Major?

We went to this beach a few times this year at the end of June. We walked from Perranporth town along the beach a couple of times but discovered an interesting alternative route. We drove to the NT car park at Holywell (A small village just to the north of Perranporth) and took the coastal foot path across MOD land to the beach. It's a fantastic walk with stunning views of the coast. The path does get a bit close to the edge at some points though 🙂 The beach it's self is really great with hundreds of yards of sand down to the sea at low tide. All very chilled with a mix of textiles and naturists. The land is owned by the MOD who have signs up banning naturism but they seem to be okay with nudity on the beach - Think it's just the dunes above the beach where they don't like it.

Trish and I went to Perranporth a couple of years ago and we parked at the point in the road and followed the route mentioned by Sunshinekid.  Yes it was a long tiring trek especially if you have stuff to take with you and if it is warm you get hot and sticky. OK on the way there because you can strip off but not so good on the way back and getting back into a hot car!  Otherwise it was a beautiful beach.  Why o why are all our nicest beaches such a long trek from parking?
