2 of my favourite beaches are in Welshland

1st one is just a few miles outside of Cardigan,if you search for Poppit sands on google you should find it.there is a lovely campsite right next to the beach, a small shop and a fantastic sandy beach that extends into the estuary.though not a naturist beach it is nudist tolerant, their are plenty of places to strip of and take in the rays.

2nd beach is just north of New Quay.follow the beach about a mile north of new-quay town (you can park your car closer) at the very far end their is a lovely area which is suitable for a day of nude sunbathing and swimming.it used to have a sign saying nudists however this seems to have gone but is well known for its naturism as it extends well away from the normal family beach.the beach is called Cei-Bach

the pic below was taken when the sun was setting on the 2nd beach

Do they get many naturist families at Poppit sands or is it mainly single men.

poppit sands is 'Not' a naturist beach

however it seems to be naturist friendly if you strip off away from main entrance area.i have been many many times.it is a very very large beach so even when it is busy(normally near the entrance) there is always somewhere to find where i have been able to strip off and enjoy being nude, infact many times my friends have joined me in nude cricket or football.when the tide is out it can be upto 200yds to sea which is once reached you have to walk out 50 yds to be waist high.i have walked out nude and swam nude many times with no problem from anyone.
the beach is also part of an estuary so this part is 'no swimming' and quite private too for getting nude.the beach is totally sand with some dunes behind.
lots of couples and families.never seen single males only, though you do get groups of all kinds playing games, flying kites, cricket, footie, etc etc.beach has RNLI station so often get lifeboats being taken out on traktors which go under water too.
camping filed right next to beach, tents and small campervans only,no caravans, just pitch up and famer comes round daily to collect £5 tent/camper per night.no facilities on this field.though RNLI stayion loos open 24/7 and has washand basins and outside tap for water.also a shop there which is like beach shop sells hot food/drinks etc open from 10am to 6pm 7days week in summer.very handy.

beautiful views out to sea and across the estaury.vey dark at night due to no properties nearby and cardigan town about 5 miles away

highly recommended

you should be able to google it for more info

If you Google Poppit Sands then look around the headland just to the west, you'll see a sandy cove. It's not reachable from the coast but you can see the lane and then track leading to it. Very secluded.

Hi Gordon

ive walked this area several times and never found the beach your talking off.is it a track or road that goes down to this beach and is it steep as the road that goes up-next to beach is also a dead end after 2 miles.if so is the track before YHA hostel........or is it the road before the main car park you follow to find this beach ?

There's a small coastguard lookout hut with a walking track leading up to it. The beach is below the lookout but it's a bit of a scramble down the cliff. We're too old to make it anymore but for young sprogs like you, it would be ok. You cannot look down on the beach directly from the cliffs above.

I can confirm that all this info is entirely true, to the letter.... 🙂  I grew up round this area spending the first 18 1/2 years of my life here before moving away from 'Home' for work......... 🙁
