I posted this n another forum, but thuoght yo might like to read it...

I've been on two early morning wanders this week. I decided seeing as its light in a morning now, I would take the opportunity to get out before going to work. So with a 5am start I have walked not far from home but with not a single other person around, both walks were spent naked for the majority of them.

Bright and sunny mornings with a cool air meant I was wide awake and feeling alive by the time I got back.

Both mornings I was lucky enough to see a heron in a piece of wetland grass, where I disturbed it while walking barefoot through the shallow water. As usual I carried my camera, but both times was too slow to catch the lovely sight as it soared towards the river.

My clothes tucked in a hedgerow I walked across an open field heading for one corner, where a gate divides the field from a small copse

Its a fairly large and open field, but with woodland surrounding it, it is secluded from open view from pretty much any angle. Despite walking there both clothed and naked, there is never any sign of anyone else apart from animal tracks and cows during the summer months. Its always a good place to go whether I have decided to strip off or not as its assured of being a quiet place to take in the world.

Stopping at the gate after crossing the open space my legs wet from the grass, still soaked from the overnight rain, I felt calm and at peace, naked in a quiet morning landscape and free from the worlds cares and madness

Now a fair way away from where I had left my clothes I turned and walked through the woodland. The cool darker atmosphere very noticeable on my naked skin. a brief shiver made me tingle and felt thoroughly wonderful

a muddy path and more bare footprints! But this time fairly sure of there being no one to see them fairly soon, led me through the trees and into a grassy opening and a chance to lean against a tree and simply enjoy the freedom of having walked without clothes without any fear or nervousness.

A quick posed shot on a fallen tree..

And a lovely gentle stroll back the way I came brought me to the hedgerow I started from. Deciding that I felt great I left my clothes hidden and ventured around a bend in the river that skirts that corner of the field. To my surprise I found a lovely grassy area that I didn't know was there and a the river slows and goes fairly deep judging by the "plop" that the stone I dropped in made. Too chilly on this particular morning, but a future skinny dip once the warmer weather arrives. The other side of the river is a field with well maintained wooden fences and a place where horses are kept by the look of it, so might have to be careful of someone being there, but a great little spot non the less.

With no way of knowing the time on both occasions I was surprised to find that my in built body clock got me back at almost spot on the right time to get showered for work and with a smile on my face to tackle the working day.

Lovely! 🙂

Mark,
Thanks for posting such a good report, it's a great read & will hopefully inspire others to try the early morning 'thing'. When we are in a suitable place eg. on holiday, there is nothing I like better than a 4am walk in the country.
