I'm heading down to the deep south for a few days; York actually. As I have a whole day to get there tomorrow (Tuesday 27th) and the weather forecast looks promising I thought I'd stop off in the North York Moors and have a little naked ramble. Other than doing the coast-to-coast a few years ago I am not that familiar with the area. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good naked walk?
Many years ago I walked from Cloughton ( north of Scarborough) to Wheeldale Hall Youth Hostel ( now no more) , naked part of the way but didn't see a soul for most of the way. This took me over Fylingdales Moor (where the golfballs used to be) and Eeler Beck, where it crosses the A169 whitby road.
As you're coming from the real north, I expect you'll be heading down the A19 which gives easy access to the western Cleveland Hills which should be pretty quiet this time of year.
Well I managed to get into the Cleveland Hills for over two hours clothes free rambling and didn't see a soul. The walk included the summit of Cringgle moor. What great views. The sun shone but the breeze was a bit brisk on the tops; OK if you kept walking though. Thanks for the suggestion.
