Wrekin View Naturist Club
A Welcoming Message from our Chairman.
It's the 1st March - the snowdrops are out - the daffodils are peeping at the sun - and our new Camping Season has just begun. The lady in the chair offers her best wishes and extends a warm welcome back to all members, new, and old. The same greeting goes out to all of our visitors, those returning and prospective. Enjoy our web site and then come and see the real site; you're most welcome.
The first prospective new members have already booked in for the first weekend of the season, lets hope the sun shines for them.

We attempted to make it last year but time in the 1st half of the year, moving house in the middle and then unemployed in the second half put stop to those plans.
But we're determined to make it over this year, you guys and tything barn are on our must visit list!!

If you're a couple in the Midlands and are under 50...say hi.
It was very nice to get a few hours of warm sunshine at the club in Shropshire last weekend and welcome a NC family for their first visit,no problem with an introduction as I was quickly recognised by the red band (getting scarce as out posties have changed to brown elastic)
The best recomendation is that they have already booked a second weekend at the start of June, fingers crossed for another fine weekend.

Visited your site last year, and had a good, quiet weekend in my tent. It may even be dry now! Hoping to visit again, maybe in June, and will make sure I bring some biccies for the bell! Warm welcome from everyone there - sorry to hear about Bryan...
Read the website with interest....

Hi David
Lets hope we can find some better weather for your next visit, can't promise but sure that the welcome will always be just as warm.
Look forward to sharing your bickies when the bell rings and everyone meets at the cottage for a cuppa and a chat.
Work has been done during the Winter to make a larger paved patio and new lawn in front of the cottage, might even move the "keep of the new grass" sign for you.

pleased to report a steady number of visitors, both couples and singles even though the weather has been enough to put anybody off.
lets hope the present fine weather lasts for a few weeks.
Booking through the website is advisable especially for the four touring van sites and electric hook ups. campsites are usually readily available.
Weekends bookings are preferable when we know that more members will be there to welcome you.

Very nice to get away for a few days at the club with very hot weather in North Shropshire, plenty of grass and bushes to trim after weeks of rain.
The big bonus was to get a phone call from a couple of Naturist Corner members yesterday from Linconshire and be able to welcome them and their caravan for a 6 day holiday.
It is always worthwhile contacting us to see if we have vacant sites, even at the last minute after waiting for Summer to arrive.
A recent visitor was a single man who was cycling from lands end to John oGroats to raise money for charity.
He left a comment in the visitors book that his one night at Crin was one of the highlights of his trip, his only regret that because of his schedule, he could not stay longer. He is obviously welcome to return anytime.

The club site is looking good and number of vistors, both UK and Holland have already enjoyed short periods with their caravans and tents
Popular additions during the past year have been WiFi and the hot tub.
Preparations are underway for the golden anniversary celebrations next month when lots of the local residents will be invited to join us for the evening.

The recent hot weather has seen a big boost to the number of visitors, several new to naturism.
Last weekend 7 visiting couples were camping or using touring caravans, a large number for a relatively small club, best result for years.
An interesting comment from one couple who used the internet to find us was that they would only visit a club/site where there was a website so that they knew what to expect before booking.
Asked if the club lived up to the website, the reply was no, it's better.
Members visited the Telford club for the first half of the annual boules match, and were made very welcome with the usual hospitality.
We lost 4:3 but hope to do better when the next game takes place at Wrekin in August.

A couple of years ago, visitors remarked about Wrekin being a very nice site but lots of very old members (including us).
Pleased to report that since then, the age profile has dropped dramatically with lots of younger visitors, requesting and being accepted as members.
The use of a website combined with the recent hot weather has produced remarkable results and should help to secure the continuity of our 50year old club.
Sincere thanks to the administrators of sites like this for promoting naturism

It s on our todo list when we get our camper van for next year π
Hi Inde
It is a long way from Exeter but motorway for 95% of the way and an ideal stopping off place if you are visiting Dyffryn on the Welsh coast.
I am sure that you will both be made very welcome.
6.15pm Everyone just preparing for the club barbeque and had a terrific thunderstorm, just our luck after a nice sunny day. Lets hope the weather improves during the next couple of hours

Good news for those people who have visited βCrinβ home of Wrekin View while towing a caravan or driving a large motor home and have had to carefully edged their way around the sharp bend at the start of the drive, which could not be improved because of the huge pine tree on the corner
The large trees have been removed, the drive made wider and we have just spent the afternoon spreading a huge load of road stone to consolidate the new area.
It is getting towards the end of the warmer weather, but after 50 years, it is nice to see that obstacle removed.

We have spent a couple of weeks here in the past and if it had been a bit more local to us then we would have become members. The site has great views over the countryside, the members that we have met were superb and really welcoming, even taking us with them to Telford for a petanque competition and inviting us out with them for a meal. The hot tub is clean and great to relax in an evening. This club is a little treasure and you should give it a try.
