Hi all, we are off next week to Cantarrijan playa on the Costa del Sol. For those of you who dont know this beach it is situated off the old N340 coast road between Nerja & La Herrandura, if you travel along the road from Nerja for about 4 miles you will see a sign on the right for Costa Tropical by a large parking area, the road to the beach leads down from here. Most of the year you can just drive down and park in an area behind the beach but in July & August its a park & ride with a cost of 2euros return, believe me this is a bargain you would not want to walk it in the sun! At the beach there are 2 good restaurants / bars and toilet facilities too, the beach is mainly shingle and used predominately by couples and families. Looking forward to next Friday already, sun cream stocked up yesterday and ready to go!
I love this beach! The water is lovely and met some friendly people here. Have a great time, I hope to visit it again in the future!
tell me more , we will be at vera playa in July and this sounds like a great day out , Is it anywhere near Cabo de gata ??
Know the road but never drive off it.
Love light and Peace ( as Spike would say)
Hi Freewilly, I guess its 'do-able' but its a long run from Vera to the Costa del Sol!
Dont honestly think I would want that long a drive in the July sun if there was a beach much closer where we could get back to nature.
Cheers R&Y
Absoutely love Cantarrajan . We have been so many times . La Bola is the better restaurant.
Only problem is that it is very busy beach at weekends . Also it is no longer on the main road so best to leave the autoroute at la Herradura and double back,it is sign posted on the left ie heading west once you are on the old road.
There is another naturist beach in Almunecar nearby , called the Playa del Muerte. No facilities but pleasant , if you can walk along a path for a few hundred metres. The best bit is watching the expressions on the faces of the textiles who get there to find it is nude nude nude!
Hi Cantarrijan is a great naturist beach and very near us at Eagle Peak Naturist Complex, we often go there by boat.,there are 5 other naturist beaches nearby too.
look us up at www.eaglepeakspain.com and make a booking for a
fantastic and different naturist holiday.
Just back from a week in Nerja and spent 4 out of the 7 days on this beautiful beach. (Had 3 cloudy days so did actually head out to the beach but didn't stay very long).
It's a really lovely beach. Mostly Spanish people the odd Germans I think. Possibly saw few English people but definitely we were the only Irish people. Great mixture of age groups from naked families young and old to couples, friends, shapes and sizes. Most people seem to keep to themselves so didn't really get talking to anyone as we usually do (we are a young family of 2 parents and 2 young boys of 1 and 3 years) but you'd usually get a nod or an Hola off your neighbours.
The first half of the beach is a mixture of textiles and nudes, the other half is nearly all nude or topless. One of the cloudy days the sea was rough and it was difficult to access the all nude side but could be nude on the mixed side - we didn't end up staying long that day anyway.
Hope to go back again in the future. the only downside of the holiday was Malaga airport is quite stressful travelling with 2 small kids. So might think again from that point of view.... but very impressed by the all nude Spanish families hanging out together with no issues, i think its the way to go!
