....Palieter in Brittany, part of the naturisme et terroir set of sites?

Also, anyone stayed at le colombier ?

Any comments/advice on either appreciated - we're thinking about these on our route around France in June/July.

Thanks

Not stayed at either, but my experience of Naturisme et Terroirs sites has always been very good indeed.

I've stayed at Le Columbier 3 or 4 times now and found it to be a very friendly site. Owned an run by a Dutch family who keep the place spotless. Of course as you might expect there are a loy of Dutch families use the site but the times I have been there has been a good mix of nationalities all thankfully speaking english.
There is a fantastic pool, sauna and hot tub as well as exercise equipment, boules court and well marked lovely walks through the surrounding woodlands. You can purchase your daily bread from the small on site shop about 8.30am to 10 ish.
If you fancy a visit to a naturist beach its about 40 minutes away, directions can be obtained from reception.
In my opinion you cannot go wrong with Le Columbier its about 350 miles from the tunnel, motorway all the way except for the last 10 miles.

Have a great time 🙂
Bob.

Thanks Bob - it does look nice on their website. We'll be en-route so stopping over for around 5 days but may split this part of the trip with a stop at L'Oliverie at Poitou Charentes which is part of the Naturisme et Terriors group and a few days at le colombier.

Decision, decisions....

I've stayed at L'Oliverie and it was very clean and pleasant. A quiet site with a nice pool, well worth a visit.

Le Colombier is nice.
In addition to agreeing with the previous comments you can also fish nude in the pond in the woods is a bit overgrown and the fish are in the fallen branches but it has some good carp and some very large crucian carp in it. Use sweetcorn for bait.

...to complete the the thread we kicked off....

We did'nt do Palitier as Brittany/Normandy was just too cold and wet for nudity (we stayed on a textile site as we were seeing friends who were also camping for three days), but did do L'Oliverie, Arnaoutchet and Laulurie sites so were further south and got some better weather over four weeks. French weather was 'patchy' so did some sightseeing as well, but had many naked days especially in Arna.

We liked the naturisme et terriors sites, especially L'Oliverie. Arna (france4naturisme) is, however, just in such a great location it also rates highly even though it is massive and we did a lot more days there than originally planned.

Laulurie is where we ran a Suntrecker rally last year 2011,we had a wonderful time and lots of stories to tell . We shall save them for Croatia when we meet up with you .

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .

Yep - they mentioned you'd been there! Nice site - if a little bit on the 'organised verging on fussy' side - but we did stay longer than planned so did like it . We also liked L'oliverie as the owner Alex was a little bit more relaxed/disorganised....we can relate to that.

It's worth remembering that l'Oliverie do Bed & Breakfast as well as camping and a gite.

Can be very useful for an overnight stop without the need to pitch.

I know that it is a bit late for this year but I'd like to second (or third) the vote for Colombier. We like it so much that we have had a seasonal pitch there for the past 3 years. The facilities get better each year although some are closed at the very start and end of the season. The emplacements are so large that we never feel crowded and it is a very sociable site with a good mix of British, Dutch and French, most of the French speak some English and with our smattering we get along fine.
